The Omaha-UBA Elite Scout Day event took place on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017. The event was held at Millard South High School. The event featured prospects from their 18U Black, White and Red teams.  Thank you to the players, parents, and members of the coaching staff for a great event.

Caiden Hill SS / OF / Papillion-Lavista, NE / 2018

Rankings  State Rank:21 POS:7

Hill has caught the eyes of programs across the Midwest throughout the last two years starting at Papillion LaVista. Tools are strong across the board and should continue to gain attention throughout the fall. 

 

 

 

 

Ethan Peterson 2B / RHP / Elkhorn South, NE / 2018

Rankings  State Rank:46 POS:1

Peterson played a major role in Elkhorn South's 2017 season. With his quick arm, it's a battle decide whether to just keep in on the mound or continue to  let him develop at the plate. Peterson will bump it up to 86-87 mph on mound with a hard spiking breaking ball. 

 

 

 

 

Alex Pavon OF / RHP / Bellevue East, NE / 2018

Rankings  State Rank:28 POS:4

Pavon has been Bellevue East #1 guy on the mound the last two season. Fastball will be up in the 83-84 mph range with strong feel for his breaking ball. When he isn't on the mound, he holds his own in the middle of the outfield. 

 

 

 

 

Jaxon Walls SS / RHP / Bellevue East, NE / 2018

Rankings  State Rank:20 POS:6

Walls has continue to develop his left handed bat at the plate and has athletic actions in the infield. He's an above average runner with a strong frame that should continue to develop during in the coming years. 

 

 

 

 

Grady Hatton SS / RHP / Elkhorn, NE / 2018

Hatton showed feel with the strike zone with three pitches during his short bullpen on the Scout Day. Fastball gets on a down hill plane and topped out multiple times at 83 mph. Change up has a firm running action to his arm side. 

 

 

 

 

Cameron Vermuele 1B / LHP / Millard South, NE / 2018

Vermuele spent this last year pitching for the Millard Sox. Arm is long and loose on the mound with clean finish out front from a mid 3/4 arm slot. His fastball topped out at 83 mph and breaking ball has late depth when released out front. 

 

 

 

 

Ivan Olague 2B / RHP / Omaha Bryan, NE / 2018

Olague has a strong frame and put up the top exit velocity in the 18U group at 91 mph. Also showed fundamentally sound actions in the infield with an accurate arm across. 

 

 

 

 

Dawson Linder RHP / 3B / Lincoln Southwest, NE / 2018

Rankings  State Rank:17 POS:5
Linder' has thrown many big games as a two year starter for Lincoln Southwest. At 6'4, 195 pounds, his frame screams project-ability and he should continues to add strength in the coming years. Fastball tops out in the 84-85 mph with a cut action. Breaking ball has hard velocity, tight spin and late bit.
