Today’s Stock Report features Marquette University HS 2014 graduate Parker Sniatynski. Sniatynski looks to be one of the top recruits in Wisconsin’s 2014 class. His lanky projectable frame and arm strength make him an interesting asset.
Sniatynski is an athletic 6-foot-1, 175-pound two-way prospect with long limbs. Offensively, he hits from a balanced setup and generates solid bat speed. His bat path gets extension and makes hard contact with the ball jumping off his bat. Defensively he shows that his arm strength is present from outfield, registering at 88 mph with carry from a ¾ arm slot. His arm strength and natural slot makes him an interesting project on the mound. Although that 88 mph arm strength from the outfield has yet to translate to the mound, college coaches will certainly see the potential.
On the mound Sniatynski currently tops out at 78 mph with a long arm action that has plenty of growth for added velocity. With a few adjustments and polish to his secondary pitches Sniatynski could turn into a highly coveted asset on the mound.
