Team Preview: Picayune Memorial

The Mississippi high school season kicks off on February 26, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on January 29, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.
Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25.
We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. Outlook
Coach Cody Stogner returns a seasoned club from a 2018 team that finished with an overall record of 12-12. The lineup will be solid, as the Maroon Tide has gained a lot of playing experience in the past couple seasons. Juvonta Raymond will be a solid addition to lineup returning from a injury a season ago and should provide some senior leadership to a junior-heavy lineup. Headlining the offense will be Chad Stockstill who is coming off a solid sophomore season where he hit .465 while driving in 29 runs. Logan Ledet and Kade Turnage will also be impactful players for the Maroon Tide lineup in 2019.
