Stainforth is a 6-foot, 160-pound unsigned righthand pitcher with more left in the tank.  His delivery is slower and deliberate but his arm works well.  He produces an 80-83 mph fastball with a solid breaking ball that can produce swings and misses.  This past season he had a 2.12 ERA and a 3-1 strikeout to walk ratio. One of his highlights was throwing a no-hitter against Bridgeport on April 27th.  Most recently Stainforth struck out 8 hitters in 3 2/3 innings at a Pastime Tournament at Michigan State.

Stainforth also is an oustanding student.  He is a member of the National Honor Society and a Academic All-Region pick with a 3.84 GPA.
