Marrs, who stands at 6-foot-4, 195-pounds, repeated hard line drive contact into the pull-side gap in BP on average (92 mph) and at peak (97.4 mph) from a loose, easy right-handed swing. His simple strength showed in-game, as Marrs screamed a stand-up double into the left-center gap Wednesday night.
Marrs is a long-levered 6-foot-4, 195-pound frame who showed out in a complete game losing effort Sunday against Forceout. The righty allowed one unearned run and just five hits, with three walks and four punch-outs. Maintained velocity throughout and produced weak contact. Smooth delivery. Fastball sat 78-82 mph, T83. Mixed in a sharp curveball at 74-76 mph for strikes consistently, and a changeup at 72 mph.
Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 154 in the Illinois’ class of 2024. 6-foot-4, 195-pound, long, athletic build, highly-projectable with plenty of room for continued physical development. Right-handed hitter got the start in right field and batted second in the lineup. Marrs went 5-for-5 on the day with a go-ahead three-run home run in the ninth inning to help give his team a win over the No. 20 team in the state. Crouched, slightly open setup and loads into backside. Athletic, loose hands with natural loft through the zone. Defensively, tracked down multiple balls ranging to both gaps. Long strided. Upside uncommitted junior to follow moving forward.

Delivery: Stretch only delivery, works on line, closed landing.

CB: 77-78 mph. Gyro spin, some lateral action. T2045, 2001 average rpm.
CH: 74-76 mph. Sinking action, some cut off of fastball. T1008, 936 average rpm.
Uncommitted. Highly projectable frame, 6-foot-3, 185-pounds, lean build with a high waist. Started at third-base and hit out of the seven-hole for the Bulldogs as just a sophomore; notched a single through the left side of the infield in the contest. The right-handed hitter starts in a crouched position, slightly open front foot that works back to the plate with a long stride; his hands start close to his head and separate at foot-strike, moving with a flat path through the zone and showcasing quick hands with loose arms throughout. During IO, Marrs looked to have reliable hands at third-base, making plays to both sides of his glove and moving into a clean transfer. His arm plays true across the diamond with easy carry and backspin, also consistently making accurate throws to first. Marrs is an intriguing right-handed bat with a projectable frame that is easy to dream on.

Defense: Athletic actions, aggressive, soft hands, quick feet.
