Super 60: Grieshaber doesn’t look like a high school player, standing at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds. He still has room to add strength, but his frame already stands out with broad shoulders and lean limbs. He showcased good speed by running a 6.81-second 60-yard dash. On defense, Grieshaber has good feet and a strong arm, throwing 86 mph across the infield. He may slow down a tick as he matures physically, but his tools should allow him to stick on the left side of the infield at the hot corner. That would put more pressure on his bat, but that’s where he stood out the most at the Super 60. He registered an exit velocity of 97 and squared up several balls during batting practice. He swing has some length, but he has athletic, loose hands and generates power with his strength and the lift in his swing. He is committed to Arkansas.
Midwest Future Games:Keith Greishaber (MIF, Marquette) took a good approach every at bat of the weekend, reaching base four times. Greishaber has explosive speed and is an aggressive and smart baserunner. In the field, Greishaber has good instincts and range from both MIF positions with a plus arm (86 mph), his tools and projectability translate well at the next level.
Top Prospect Showcase: Greishaber proved to be one of the top prospects in the Class of 2014. Greishaber’s physical 6-foot-1, 165-pound frame projects well at the next level. Greishaber showed one of the strongest arms from the infield, posting a velocity of 82 mph. His fluid footwork and reliable hands make him a top-level infield prospect. Offensively, Greishaber uses his strong body and natural athleticism to create excellent barrel whip through the zone while squaring up the baseball. He demonstrated power in his swing with an aggressive lower half and a hard but controlled swing. Greishaber is also a standout soccer player.
