Josh Bercaw: SS/2B, (2023) Olentangy Liberty, OH. 5-foot-9, 145-pound. In the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 85 mph. (66.3 mph bat speed average). (20.0 mph hand speed average). Started in an athletic active stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed is quick, has a short simple swing plane and balanced finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws up to 81 mph; has consistent feet, a natural exchange, and soft hands. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Used a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.45.
Josh Bercaw: SS/2B, (2023) Olentangy Liberty, OH. 5-foot-9, 145-pound lean frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 81 mph. Began in an open balanced stance with a smooth quick load, then used a short stride. Bat speed was average, and displayed an upward level swing plane. Athletic in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 78 mph; has soft hands, a clean exchange, and athletic feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Recorded a time of 7.7 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, used a loose arm action with a ¾ arm angle while showing quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows some effort. Showed an athletic balance point. Produced a fastball that came in at 75-80 mph; has running action and arm side command. Throws a 11/5 curveball (67-68) that has plus action. Showed fading action and arm side control on his changeup (73-75). His 11/5 slider (69-69) has plus action.
Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Smooth mover in the box with a balanced swing throughout. Very efficient. Only going to get better as he gets more physical. Power:Line drive pop. Offensive Projection:Top of lineup. Max BP Exit Velocity:68 mph Max BP Distance: 206 ft Field:Clean actions with feel for his feet/hands. Very sure-handed. Solid defender Throw:Clean arm with more strength to come. Defensive Projection: MIF.

Hit: Right handed hitter with an athletic setup. Somewhat quick and simple load that creates regular timing. Varied ball flight from the floor to the ceiling and bat path stays through the zone.

Field: Worked out at SS. Athletic with good smooth actions. Hands and feet play well together.
