Body: 6-foot, 180-pound athletic and projectable frame

Hit: LHH.  At the plate starts with an open stance and crouched posture.  Hands get set well below shoulder height with a high back elbow.  Uses a big leg kick to get back to neutral and has good weight transfer into a firm front leg.  Strong rotational swing with good rotational acceleration metrics and hands staying into position while core begins to turn.  Short and compact swing with limited extension.  Shows the ability to go to all fields with a level bat path and line drive approach.

Power: 84 mph exit velocity off the tee and 89 mph exit velocity in BP.

Arm: RH.  C-73 mph.  INF-78 mph.  Behind the plate shows a longer arm action with a short release.  Hand works close to the mask.  In the infield has a high ¾ arm slot with a shorter arm action with arm working across the body at release.

Defense: Behind the plate likes to receive the ball with one knee in the dirt and shows a feel for pitch framing.  Has good blocking techniques showing the ability to range from left to right well.  Comes out of the crouch quickly with the feet and slightly ahead of the hips.  Had pop times ranging from 2.01-2.10.  In the infield shows a feel for working around the ball with smooth rhythm.  Shows a feel for glove action out in the front of the body and soft hands.  Shows good backhand technique with good glove angle picking through the short hop.

Run: 5.01 runner to first base.

Delivery: On the mound uses a fast paced rocker style delivery.  Works to a quick balance point with heavy coil in the hips and shoulders.  Hands work up and down with the lower body for an old-school style rhythm.  Works from the first base side of rubber and lands directionally down the center of the mound.

Arm Action: Low ¾ arm slot with hand working across the body with a repeatable release point and whippy finish.

FB: 76-81 mph, heavy arm side run with slinger-type action.

SL: 67-70 mph, developing spin with short action and cutter shape.

Positional Profile: C/RHP

Body: Lean, athletic 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame.

Hit: LHH. Crouched, open stance. Knee-to-knee load into long stride. Aggressive line-drive swing. Spray contact with consistent hard contact during BP.

Power: 83 mph exit velocity from the tee and 85 in BP. 

Arm: RH. INF - 78 mph. C - 71 mph. Quick high-¾ arm action. 

Defense: 2.03-2.22 pop times. Behind the plate, adequate receiver. Developing release and exchange with average footwork. In the infield, aggressive to field with quick footwork. Clean glove and exchange. Shows good lateral range.

Run: 7.89 runner in the 60.

 

Delivery: Repeatable rocker-step delivery with body coil and high balane point. Works slightly across body with good direction down the mound. 

Arm Action: Long low-¾ arm action.

FB: 73-78 T79 mph, solid arm-side run and sink.

CB: 69 mph, 11/5 break with some depth from high-¾ slot.

SL: 67-69 mph, small 10/4 shape for strikes.

Jack Cullen: 2B/3B, (2023) Oklahoma Christian School, OK. 5-foot-10, 165-pound slim frame. At the plate, Cullen had an exit velocity of 73 mph. Started in a crouched stance with a low load, then used a leg kick before his swing. Bat speed is some, exhibits flat swing plane and level finish. He found some barrels through his rounds. Line drive approach. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 74 mph; had developing footwork, sure hands and a fluid exchange. Decent accuracy to the bases, used a short arm action with a ¾ slot. Recorded a 60 time of 8.28 at the event.

Showcased a lean 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame with room to fill out and add strength as he matures. The left-handed hitter begins with a balanced, open stance with quiet hands using a toe-tap stride to initiate his swing.. Entered the zone through a flat barrel path while leaking to the front foot with momentum early in the swing. Registered a 77 mph bat-exit velocity while hitting into a soft front side off the tee.  Recorded an 8.09 60-yard dash. The primary middle infielder demonstrated athletic actions with soft hands out in front. Footwork can improve with more active steps creating momentum towards the target. Notched a 73 mph arm-strength across the diamond out a quick, high ¾ arm-slot.

4/28/19

A 5-foot-7, 145-pound frame. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from a balanced stance with quiet hands. Uses an easy load with a toe tap while the hands separate and then deliver a short swing with a slightly uphill bat path. In BP, shows an all fields and flat approach with occasional lift, some barrels, 73 mph exit velo.  Runs a 8.13 60. Defensively, the 2B shows athletic actions with average hands and developing feet. Throws with a short arm stroke coming through a low three quarter slot with developing accuracy at 70 mph.
