Positional Profile: SS

Body: 6-foot, 160-pound athletic frame with room to add more strength.

Hit: RHH. Slightly open stance. Uses a small leg kick to get into a good lower half load.  Bat angle is vertical at the start of swing.  Shows really quick hands with a 27 mph hand speed.  Has very good rotation in the swing which translates to above average bat speed.  

Power:  86 mph exit velocity off the tee and 89 in BP.  

Arm: RH.  INF - 77 mph. ¾ arm action with good accuracy and carry.

Defense: In the infield shows solid footwork with good routes to the ball.  Shows the ability to change arm angles properly.  Showed smooth hands and good glove action.  Very good slow roller technique with a quick release. 

Run: 7.12 runner in the 60.


Marlon Moore: SS/2B, (2024) Canute, OK. 5-foot-11, 150-pound athletic frame. In the box, Moore had an exit velocity of 80 mph. Begins in a tall stance with a controlled compact load, then uses a controlled stride to initiate his swing. Bat speed is explosive, exhibits simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Was able to create a lot of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. Advanced while in the infield, made throws up to 73 mph; showed a clean quick exchange, soft hands and smooth feet. Showed a quick arm action and a ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the base. Recorded a time of 7.32 in the 60-yard dash. Projectable on the mound, showing quick arm speed he had an over-the-top arm angle with a long arm action. Feel type pitcher and shows some effort. Showed tall balance point and even shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 74-76 mph with a max of 76 mph; has a in the zone command that shows straight movement. He shows fading action on his changeup (66-69). His curveball showed sweeping action. Throws a sharp slider (64-65) with tight action.


A 5-foot-9, 140 pound lean and athletic frame. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a controlled leg kick before striding down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action has moderate length in the back before a quick change of direction at the bottom of his arm stroke before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 70-71, mostly strikes. Breaking ball has short 10/4 shape with some tight spin at 60-62, some strikes. Changeup has consistent swing and miss sink at  63-64 mph. 


A 5-foot-9, 140-pound frame. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats with an active lower half, creating a wide base to swing. Uses a big leg lift to start and load swing, hands stay connected to the back shoulder, not creating any separation until foot strike. Heavy weight transfer to the front side, creates some bat speed with big movements. Back foot slide to finish, uphill barrel path. In BP shows, 80 mph exit velo.  Runs a 7.45 60. Defensively, raw, athletic framed SS plays with good instincts, hands and feet worked through the baseball. High front/glove side to throw, throws with a long IF arm stroke coming from a ¾ slot with average accuracy at 72 mph.
