Physical: Twitchy and athletic 5-foot-9, 165-pound frame with advanced feel for all facets of the game and sneaky strength throughout the movements. 7.59 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance with controlled rhythm throughout the setup as the hands started above the shoulder next to the head. Utilized a leg-hang stride to initiate the hands through a powerful, slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone, turned the barrel early allowing for high level hand speed at impact. The top hand worked short to the baseball with intent at the front of the plate, showcased a mostly pull-side approach during batting practice generating loud contact with jump off of the barrel towards the LCF gap. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 93 mph per Trackman Baseball and carried the momentum over to game action where he notched multiple extra base hits.
Defensively: The primary shortstop featured advanced actions in the middle, played low to the ground with smooth, rangy actions to either side. Worked extremely hard early in routes creating downhill momentum on the approach, the glove hand played softly out in front of the left side allowing for push or give when necessary. Controlled the pace on the left side of the infield with understanding of who is running down the line and how hard the ball was hit. A fluid, quick high ¾ arm-slot generated accurate throws across the diamond with advanced arm strength. SS - 86 mph
Pitching: RHP - Side rocker step with a quick tempo in the delivery, leg lifts slightly above the waist at the top of the stack while sitting into a sturdy and powerful backside before driving downhill towards the plate, held direction well with a quick, high ¾ arm slot whipping through release out of a full arm circle. Moves well defensively and flashed solid carry on throws of 83 mph across the diamond. The righty sat 81-84 off the mound with arm-side run to his fastball from a 3/4 arm slot with hip coil to his delivery. Also flashed a curveball with sharp 11/5 break that was two-plane at times sitting 69-73 and a changeup with sinking action at 72-75. Well rounded two-way prospect is a definite high follow in this class.
