Hit: RHH. Tall, narrow slightly closed setup. Short, quick stride. High hands. Controlled foot strike. Strength to compact swing that produced hard contact to pullside.
Power: 102.2 max exit velocity, averaged 93.6 mph. 380’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 82 mph. Plus arm with carry to bag. Quick, strong arm. Over the top slot. Downhill plane.
Defense: 1.82-1.91 pop times. Showed his bet pop from his knees.
Run: 7.14 runner in the 60. Forward lean.

Curry is a muscular 6-foot-1, 210 pounds who wields a powerful right-handed bat that we have gotten accustomed to seeing firsthand. At the workout portion of the PBR Future Games, Curry connected for six batted balls over 95 mph, including three over 98. Behind the plate, Curry showed off more natural strength by reaching an 80 mph high to second.

Curry has a 6-foot-1, 210-pound, physical, prototypical catcher’s build with strength throughout his frame. Defensively, he is clean out of the crouch and showed off the strongest arm of the day at 84 mph from the chute; Curry’s pop times ranged from 2.00-2.03. In the box he has a quiet, aggressive approach from the right side and his strength translates efficiently to his swing to create above-average pop. He generated a highly impressive average and max exit speed, at 93.3 and 99.8, respectively, which both led the event – and he also hit the day’s furthest batted-ball, traveling and estimated 344 feet. Curry landed a barrel with each physical/fast swing, while averaging the fastest bat speed (78.6 mph) of the showcase and the second highest average hand speed (26.8 mph).

Body: 5-10, 190-pounds. Physical, wide-shouldered build, present strength throughout frame.
Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, minimal loading action, short stride and maintains balance through contact. Aggressive swing, advanced bat speed, short and direct to the ball. Creates leverage to the pull-side, ball jumps off the barrel.
Power: 95 mph exit velocity from the tee. Max exit velocity of 99.59 mph during BP, via TrackMan.
Arm: RH. C - 77 mph. Short, quick arm action, over-the-top slot; throws play accurate and with carry.
Defense: 1.93-2.01 pop times. Directional and quick out of the crouch; quick glove-to-hand release. Reliable hands, soft block.
Run: 7.6 runner in the 60. 

5-foot-11, 190-pound right-handed hitting catcher. Sturdy strength, physical/compact frame. Caught two games this weekend for STiKS Black and hit out of the three-hole or cleanup spot. Quiet and comfortable setup in the box, smooth load, short stride, stays balanced through contact at times. Present bat speed paired with premium bat strength for age, slightly elevated bat path, advanced barrel feel, gap-to-gap approach. Polished overall offensive game at the dish, just flat-out knows how to hit. Defensively, his best tool is his arm strength, which he has weaponized, frequently checking in on base-runners and back-picking when the situation calls for it. Has fully cemented himself as an elite offensive prospect in Wisconsin’s 2023 class.

Body: 5-foot-10, 190-pounds. Compact build with proportional strength, especially in his lower half.
Hit: RHH. Tall/balanced setup, slightly open, hands set high, bat resting on shoulder. Small, balanced leg lift, slight bat wrap in load, short stride. Fast, strong hands create quick bat speed; aggressive approach. Bat path is compact, direct to, on an incline through contact. Hits in rhythm while maintaining balance, despite aggressive hacks.
Power: 92 mph exit velocity from the tee. Consistent hard contact with advanced bat strength.
Arm: RH. C - 77 mph. Short, over-the-top arm action with accuracy and carry through the infield.
Defense: 1.97-2.18 pop times. Above-average, natural actions. Hands show softness, footwork is clean and fluid, consistent transfers.
Run: 7.71 runner in the 60.

Curry also looks the part from behind the dish. He looks to be high-level backstop at the next level, demonstrating the ability to block, receive, and has plus arm strength for his age. The future Arrowhead prospect has a strong, athletic frame and is already an advanced receiver and blocker. He was popping the 2.19-2.37 range between innings with the help of his plus arm strength for his age. From the right-handed batter’s box, Curry also takes an advanced approach at the plate and flashed the kind of bat strength that produced gap-to-gap results. In Day Two action, Curry went 1-for-2 with a single and hard line-drive out hit right to the second baseman. It looks like he’s going to have a chance to make an early impact in high school if he keeps this pace up.

Body: 5-foot-10, 165-pounds.
Defense: 2.19-2.26 pop times. Steady hands, athletic fielding position under center. Projects best as a catcher, advanced blocking for his age.
Arm: RH. C - 75 mph. INF - 75 mph. Short draw, over the top slot, showed potential carry.
Hit: RHH. Balanced/athletic setup, short stride. Flashed above average bat speed for age, short path, line drive hitter, works opposite field well.
Power: 85 mph exit velocity from the tee. Has an advanced feel for the barrel at his age, flashed gap-to-gap ability.
Run: 7.80 runner in the 60.

4/8/18 - 5-foot-6, 145-pound, catcher. Defensively, short arm action, over-the-top slot, kept throws around the bag, 64 mph out of the crouch, fluid footwork, pop times ranged between 2.30-2.47. Ran an 8.39 laser-timed 60. Offensively, balanced setup, short stride, maintains balance through contact. Uphill barrel path, power-pull hitter, 75 mph exit velocity.
