Jordan McDonough, C, 2014 ... Signed with Ohio State. 2-year starter on varsity. Missed entire 2013 season after being diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Nate Chipman, RHP, 2014 ... Has a fastball in the mid-80s. Could add velocity with coaching and development. Had an ERA of 3.90 in 23.1 innings.
Nick Tensing, LHP/1B, 2014 ... Good pitcher. Will attend Ohio State as a preferred walk-on for football.
Eric Jaun, SS/OF , 2015 ... Good athlete. Will play either shortstop or in the outfield.
Spencer Helwig, 3B/C, 2015 ... Athletic player. Started at 3B as a sophomore, but can also catch.
Alex Kenner, RHP, 2014 ... Will be expected to make significant contributions in 2014. Working on secondary pitches.

OUTLOOK:  

With a new coach St. Xavier hopes to bounce back after a 16-12 season in 2013. St. X expects to be a tough out in the Greater Catholic League- South Division. The division itself is highly competitive with teams like the two-time defending state champs Archbishop Moeller. St. Xavier will get a huge boost with the return of catcher Jordan McDonough, an Ohio State commit, who missed 2013 with the diagnosis of Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
