The Top Prospect Games being held this year at Jacksonville University is the third year of the event. This event features some of the top prospects throughout the state of Florida. The previous two years have produced 40 college commitments with 24 of those being Division I, with one, Tyler Esplin, being taken in the 7th round by the Red Sox in the 2017 MLB Draft.  2015 featured Joey Bellini (Kentucky), Mikey Giordano (Boston College), Bryce Hulett (South Carolina), Clemente Inclan (North Carolina) while 2016 featured Jacob Young (Florida), Rafael Santos and Jakob Sessa (Florida Atlantic), Gabriel Rivera (Miami) and Brenden Bell (Florida Gulf Coast).

This years event has several players primed for breakout performances. In the 2018 class, a physical, left-handed hitting first baseman in Chris Vervoodt (TNXL)  has a projectable frame with power potential. C Luke Holland (Brandon) is an athletic catcher with a chance to be an above average defender. SS August Haymaker (Dr Phillips) is a rangy middle infielder who can stick at short with a short level swing with a chance to hit for average. RHP/2B Jared Dole (Manatee) has a short, quick arm with the ability to spin a breaking ball while also being a rangy infielder and ability to be a two-way player at the next level.

As for the underclassmen, C Travis Stapleton (Real Life Christian, 2020) is a 2017 Future Games participant and has shown above average defensive skills with a strong stocky frame. C Dani Neri (Bishop Snyder, 2020) is an athletic and projectable left-handed hitting catcher with high upside both offensively and defensively.

These are just a few of the many player that are primed for a big day which will include the following.
