2018 PBR All-State Selection: Second Team

The 2018 high school season end is only days away with state championships ending later this week. On Monday we released the Prep Baseball Report Mississippi First Team All-State selections, which you can view HERE. Today we release the Second Team All-State selections.

The PBR All-State teams consist of one catcher, one first baseman, three infielders, three outfielders, three pitchers and a utility player. As well, the selections include the entire state of Mississippi, regardless of classification of the high school.

Here is the 2018 Prep Baseball Report Mississippi All-State Second Team:

Luke Hancock C / Houston, MS / 2018

Batted .543 with 39 runs batted in, 13 doubles, three triples and six home runs.

Firstbase

Blaze Jordan 3B / 1B / DeSoto Central, MS / 2021

Batted .418 with 35 runs batted in, 12 doubles and seven home runs.

Infielder

Clark Mills 3B / North Pontotoc, MS / 2018

Batted .540 with 18 doubles, one triple and seven home runs.

Landon Wilkerson SS / 2B / Lewisburg, MS / 2018

Hit for an average of .458 with 14 doubles, a triple and three home runs. Scored 37 runs while driving in 26 more.

Clark Stovall OF / RHP / Oxford , MS / 2018

Batted .441 with 28 RBI, 12 doubles, four triples. Committed no errors in 32 chances on the infield.

Outfielder

Adarius Myers OF / Seminary, MS / 2018

Louisiana Tech signee, batted .467 with 23 extra base hits, 32 runs batted in and an on base percentage of .578.

Kasey Donaldson 1B / West Harrison, MS / 2018

Hit for an average of .500 with 34 RBI and 22 extra base hits including 11 doubles and 11 triples. The Pearl River CC signee finished the season with an on-base percentage of .606.

Trent Tyre OF / Jackson Academy, MS / 2018

Hit .476 while driving in 52 runs on ten doubles and seven home runs, while only striking out seven times all season.

Pitcher

Aubrey Gillentine RHP / Amory, MS / 2018

Southern Mississippi signee logged 57 innings pitched with 107 strikeouts. His opponents hit .134 against as he post an ERA of 1.95. Batted .443 with 36 RBI, six doubles and eleven home runs.

Landon Gartman RHP / Enterprise, MS / 2019

The right-hander finished the season with a record of 8-0 in 58 innings pitched, allowing 18 walks while punching out 118. At the plate hit .418 with 23 runs batted in, five doubles and two home runs.

Kameron Partridge RHP / SS / West Lauderdale, MS / 2019

Went 10-1 on the mound with an ERA of 0.45 in 62.2 innings pitched. Partridge allowed just nine runs and eight walks all year while striking out 108 opposing hitters.

Utility

Slade Wilks 3B / Columbia, MS / 2020

Hit for an average of .560 while driving in 37 runs on four doubles and 15 homeruns. The Southern Mississippi recruit had only seven strikeouts and finished the season with an on-base percentage of .721.
