End-of-the-Month Roundup: October

Today’s Halloween, which also means it’s the last day of October. We’ll condense this month’s coverage by placing all of October’s most important posts into one place. If you missed anything over the past 31 days, we’ve got you covered. This month featured a busy set of events, the last showcases of 2018. Amidst all of this month’s event analysis, we also broke down August’s Eastern Wisconsin Open and Senior Games. Our staff was on hand for a couple regional college-hosted scout days featuring a handful of former Badger State prep stars.

From a national perspective, our Draft HQ team ranked the top-100 prep prospects in the 2019 draft class. Nathan Rode and PBR’s state scouting directors compiled a list of the 2019 talent on the rise, and Shooter Hunt introduced us to some of the top freshmen in the country.

COLLEGE FOCUS

PBR Illinois Scouting Director Drew Locascio was on hand to view JUCO Midwest Region IV’s Unsigned Sophomore Showcase, featuring the area’s top JUCO programs, including Madison College.
Our staff was on hand to watch the scout day and scrimmage that took place between the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Madison College.

NATIONAL POV

LHP Connor Prielipp, the top prospect in the state’s 2019 class, lands on the 2019 High School Draft 100.
In Nathan Rode’s 2019 risers post, RHP Trent Turzenski is mentioned for his late uptick in velocity.
