Top 12 Stories for The Year 2014

Although PBR Ontario started up just three months ago Chris Kemlo, PBR Ontario Director of Scouting, looks back at the year in review and put together a list of the top stories for 2014.

To start off the list, Chris chose a long running piece that has provided players and parents with valuable knowledge when it comes to recruiting.

To follow that up we looked at "The Recruiting Trail" which updates where all the prospects across the province have been visiting, who they are getting attention from, and who they have committed to.

Next up Chris chose to look two outstanding prospects who lead the 2017 class as the two top prospects in Canada. When watching them on the field, they could be called the "Hall and Davis Show"

After that we looked at how talented the 2016 catching class is as well as the Toronto Mets 17U winning the NABF World Series

Then we looked at how the Fieldhouse Pirates are leading the way when it comes to recruits, as well as the release of the Class of 2016 and 2015 rankings.

After that we looked at the Ontario players that cracked PBR's top 100 as well as the Tournament 12 All-Ontario team.

Now we take a look at the first showcase in PBR Ontario's history.

Each day we will reveal the next story on the list. A hint for the next story are the words "Launch of Ontario".

A rundown of the stories: Note: We will be conducting a Twitter contest to vote on the top 12 stories for 2014 once the 12 stories have been posted.

PBR Ontario Hosts First Showcase

October 26, 2014 is a special day for PBR Ontario as it was our inaugural showcase, which saw 76 players from all over Ontario participate at the beautiful Out of the Park Sports Baseball complex in Scarborough, Ontario.

This marked the one and only event of 2014, and some of the top players in 2015, 2016, and 2017 classes were in attendance. Chris Valentine and Alex Schillig flew in from Ohio, as well some college recruiters from the New York region. It proved to be a very successful day for everyone involved.

I was very grateful for the opportunity that Out of the Park Sports gave us for hosting the event, as well as the way the players handled themselves and the skills and talent that were on display.

With the support we received from everyone in our first showcase, we at PBR Ontario are looking forward to our upcoming events and helping the Ontario player succeed and help him chase his dreams and goals of advancing on to the next level.

We plan to use the best facilities for our players, as our next event the Preseason College Prospect Showcase will be at the brand new PlayBall Academy in Kitchener this Jan.24th. After that we are off to the nations capital in Ottawa at the beautiful Sensplex on Feb.15th for our Ottawa Open ID Showcase. Both these events will help with the process of granting invitations to the Top Prospect and Future Games this coming summer.

Please stay tuned to the website as we will continue to add events to our calendar.
