Houston Top Prospect Games: Preview June 6

On Tuesday, June 6, some of the top talent from the state of Texas will converge on The University of Houston’s Daryl & Lori Schroeder Park for the Houston Top Prospect Games.

Check-in will begin at 8:20 AM for Position Players and the event will begin promptly at 9:00 AM. Position players will go through a pro-style workout, which includes: run times, defensive evaluation with positional velocity, swing analysis with exit velocity and round of batting practice. Following the pro-style workout there will be three separate games, the itinerary is listed below. Pitchers will be evaluated and video-taped during the live-game. Pitchers should check-in one hour before their scheduled game time. 

As always, players will have their performances video-taped and hosted on the Prep Baseball Report multi-media platform that is subscribed to by over 800 college coaches and professional scouts.

Several players from the Texas 2018 Ranking will be in attendance. 2018 SS Alec Carr from Kempner HS is a Texas recruit, and currently ranked No. 18 in Texas 2018 Class, and No. 105 Overall. 2018 SS Jackson Loftin from Klein Collins HS is ranked No. 74. 2018 SS Westley Schields from Cy-Ranch HS is ranked No. 111.

Due to the South Texas Sliders Scout day being rained out on Monday, May 29, there will be a number of Sliders attending our event, including several 2019 graduates.

8:20-8:40 AM – Position Player Check-in
8:40-9:00 AM – Introduction and Stretch
9:00-11:00 PM – Position Player Workout

Pitchers Check-In one hour before scheduled game time.
12:30 PM - Team 1 vs. Team 2
2:30 PM - Team 3 vs. Team 4
4:30 PM - Team 5 vs. Team 6
