SC Uncommitted SR Spotlight - Logan McCutcheon

Logan Mccutcheon OF / RHP / Hillcrest, SC / 2020

Physically advanced 6-0, 165lb frame with broad shoulders, proportional build and moderate projection remaining. Athletic actions throughout. 6.83 sixty time. 91 mph Exit Velo (tee). 89 mph OF velo. Slightly open stance at the plate with a relaxed hand set. A controlled stride with medium length pushes the hands and coils the barrel slightly at the top. Attack angle is steeper to contact and flattens out to a level two handed finish. Showed good feel for the barrel in his BP rounds with a gap to gap line drive approach. Fielded ground balls just outside the left foot in the outfield and transferred at the waist using an athletic pro step. Shorter arm action from the OF with an OTT slot. Above avg. carry and accuracy to the target. On the mound, used a short rocker step from the wind up to reach a balance point above the belt. Slight rotation of the hips at the top, lands on line with his target. Repeated his delivery well. Full arm action on the back side. Quick Arm. FB topped out at 85 and ranged from 83-84. Breaking ball was thrown at 70-71 mph with some feel. The pitch showed more side to side tendencies with late bite and had consistent 10/4 shape. Slider was used as a third pitch thrown firmly at 78-80 with cutting tendencies.

The PBR Uncommitted SR spotlight is brought to you by Prep Baseball Report - South Carolina in collaboration with E4 Consultants.

About E4 Consultants:

“NCAA Requirements often catch even the best student-athletes off guard. Nearly half of the athletes we have studied had incorrect information reported to the NCAA, affecting how their transcripts were evaluated by both the NCAA and college coaches. E4 Consultants will make sure this will not happen to you.”  - David Beckey - Owner E4 Consultants.

About David Beckley:

Coach Beckley brings more than 20 years of coaching experience, including 16 years at the Division 1 level, to the business.  Beckley spent 11 years as the Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for The Citadel Baseball program, and in that time, recruited hundreds of high school and junior college athletes.  During his coaching career he learned the ins and outs of the behind the scenes duties that are required to build and run a successful program.

Coach Beckley was directly involved with recruiting, scholarship offers, academic programming, NCAA rules and regulations, admissions, camps, fund raising, public speaking, sales and game day operations, corporate sponsorships, management of program’s booster club, and even served as program’s military liaison. Coach Beckley helped support the development of 27 professional players, including three big leaguers.
