Today PBR Virginia/DC releases the updated class of 2020 rankings across the commonwealth. It has only been two months since out last update, but there has been plenty of movement among the top as we have added over 30 new faces to the rankings. It is important to note, our rankings are a direct result of our boot-to-the-ground approach to scouting. We travel to watch not only our very own PBR events, but other events across the commonwealth. This consists of the top player one of our staff have had the opportunity to see.

Remaining at the No. 1 spot is talented left-handed pitcher Nate Savino, who has also seen his stock rise as we have had better opportunity to watch and evaluate this young and talented arm out of Potomac Falls. Savino saw his biggest rise happen on the Overall scene of the PBR Rankings coming in at No. 11 in the class of 2020.

No real change was in our top three of the rankings as Savino, Quade Tomlin, and Trey Carter remain as our top three in the 2020 Virginia Rankings. All three of these player did see they stock rise in our overall rankings, again as we have had opportunity to watch these young men perform at the national level. Tomlin impressed at the Underclass Area Codes, and Carter was one of the most electric and interesting prospects at the PBR Future Games, impressing many of the over 250 college coaches and scouts in attendance.

Speaking of Carter, one of the most exciting things about the talented product at Carlisle School is the rawness of his game. Carter already possesses top level ability and statistical skill in his ability on the game with his five tool potential. As he continues to develop his game, he could see himself rise even further up.

Some slight changes in our top 10, as we see Avery Mabe move up one spot and switch with his future teammate at Virginia Riley Eikoff at the No. 4 and 5 spots respectively.

Rounding out the top ten include Tanner Schobel, Trey Boll, Jake Berry, Carter Trice, and Andrew Ward.

If you notice, two of those player are new faces to the rankings in Berry and Ward. Ward was one of the more impressive arms at the PBR Future Games, showing off a fastball up to 88 mph from the left side and a nice two pitch combination that has garnered quite a bit of interest since the event just one month ago.

Possibly the top story of this summer was the return to the diamond of our No. 8 player Jake Berry. For those that did not know, Berry returned to the diamond after winning a battle with cancer and made his first appearance this summer back to the mound. Great to hear news of this young man back on the diamond, but even better news with this victory for the young man and we wish him nothing but the best moving forward.

Let's take a sneak peek at the top ten....
