Welcome to the VA/DC Scoreboard. This year we will run our scoreboards on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We will always be sure to include scores and brief recaps of games involving Power 25 teams and will strive to get as many of the rest of the scores from the Commonwealth and the District as well.

No. 9 Deep Run 1, Douglas Freeman 0
The Wildcats scratched an unearned run in the first and Brandon Hill (Roanoke) made it stand up, striking out 10 and allowing just 2 hits in six innings. Alec Erickson (Roanoke) was outstanding for Freeman, striking out 12 in 7 innings and allowing just 3 hits.

No. 11 Lake Braddock 7, Fairfax 0
Michael Weidinger threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball and struck out 7 while also going 2-4 with 3 RBIs. Lyle Miller-Green (George Mason) had another home run for the Bruins in the win.

No. 15 Prince George 14, Central VA Homeschool 5
Quincy Sippio, Jacob Farrar(), and Dylan Bowen all had three-hit games for the Royals and Michael Dolberry had 3 RBIs.

No. 18 Menchville 15, Kecoughtan 2
Brandon Rodgers struck out 8 in four innings while also going 1-3 with a 2B and 2 RBIs. Kade Abrisz was 2-2 with an RBI. 

Isle of Wight Academy 9, No. 21 Cape Henry 5
Aidan Williams held Cape Henry scoreless for the first five innings as the Chargers built a 9-0 lead and hung on to win. Williams was also 2-5 with a 2B and 2 RBIs and Ryan Boyce was 3-4 with a 2B and 2 RBIs. Bryce Jones was 3-4 in the loss.

Thursday 4/11

No. 1 Benedictine 12, No. 7 Miller School 2
Casey Green (Coastal Carolina) allowed just 4 hits in 5 innings while striking out 8 to earn the win. Brett Cook (Tulane), Jack Hall, and Nick Neighbors all homered for the Cadets. Hall finished the game 2-4 with 4 RBIs and Cook was 2-3 with 2 RBIs and a walk. Jay Woolfolk was also 2-4 for Benedictine. 

No. 5 Battlefield 11, Osbourn 5
Peter Benavides was 2-3 with a 2B and 2 RBIs and Kyle Terrell had 4 RBIs for the Bobcats in the win. 

No. 6 Greenbrier Christian 13, Walsingham Academy 3
Walsingham led 3-2 after five, and then the Gators exploded for 11 runs in the top of the sixth to win the game. The Gators slugged 5 home runs, with Gavin Whitehurst hitting a grand slam, Gavin Younce going yard twice, and JT Inskeep (VMI) and Nic Britt (William & Mary) also going deep. Tanner Schobel (Virginia Tech) held GCA down for his five innings, striking out 10 and allowing just 5 hits.

No. 8 Liberty Christian 5, Rustburg 4
Pell Collins (Liberty) had another home run and Bailey Reynolds had a 2B and 2 RBIs while Jacob Williams (Middle Tenn St) went 2-3.

No. 11 Lake Braddock 13, South County 1
Lyle Miller-Green (George Mason) struck out 8 in 3.2 innings of relief. Jay Cassady, Michael Weidinger, Ryan Cuadros, and Ben Sopko all had multi-RBI days for the Bruins.

No. 14 Highland 13, Fredericksburg Christian 8
Joe DeBardi (Mt St Mary's) continued his outstanding spring, going 4-5 with a home run and 3 RBIs. Blake Fisher was 3-5 with a 3B and 2 RBIs and Dylan Fisher (Lynchburg) was 2-5 with 2 RBIs. Joel Tarrh was 3-3 with a 2B, BB, and 3 RBIs for FCS.

Madison 5, No. 16 Westfield 4
The Warhawks handed the Bulldogs their first loss, Zach Perkins struck out 7 in 5.1 innings to earn the win while also going 2-3 with a 2B and 2 RBIs. Luke Erdmann (Washington & Lee) was also 2-3 with a 2B and an RBI for the Warhawks. Joe Clancy was 2-2 with an RBI and a walk for Westfield.

Bishop O'Connell 3, No. 17 Wilson (DC) 1
Corey Knauf held the Tigers to 1 hit in 6.2 innings to earn the win for O'Connell. Eddie Eisert (NC State) was 1-2 with a BB and an RBI and Jake Berry (Virginia) also had an RBI in the win. Colin Bosley-Smith (Duke) struck out 9 in 5.2 innings on the mound for Wilson.

No. 18 Menchville 8, Kecoughtan 4
Kody Abrisz was 2-4 with 2 RBIs and Ahmad Goldson had a 2B and 3 RBIs for the Monarchs. Wyatt Slater was 2-2 with 2 RBIs and Khalil Claxton was 2-4 with an RBI for Kecoughtan.

No. 19 Nansemond River 3, Deep Creek 2
The Warriors took advantage of 5 walks to win despite only picking up 2 hits. Cameron Pittman was 1-2 with an RBI and 2 BBs. 

No. 20 Potomac 3, Gar-Field 0
Braden Mack struck out 5 in 5 innings to earn the win and Adrian Touch and Ben Thomas were each 1-2 with an RBI.

No. 22 Patriot 2, Osbourn Park 0
Riley Eikhoff (Virginia) threw a 3-hit shutout in the win and went 1-2 with a walk and a double. Jaden Minnick was 2-3 with 2 2Bs. Cam Mozingo-Morales allowed 1 unearned run in 4 innings for OP and Liam Gannon was 2-3 with a 2B.

Robbie Baker threw a complete game in the win and Jimmy Baker was 2-3 with a 2B and 3 RBIs.

No. 24 Hickory 16, Lakeland 1
Scott Crosson was 3-4 with a home run and 4 RBIs.

No. 25 Brentsville 13, Fauquier 0
Vince DiMauro struck out 6 in 4 innings of 3-hit ball. Jake DeLisi (King) had 4 RBIs and Reid had a home run.

No. 2 in the Small School10 took down No. 6 as TR Williams (Virginia Tech) struck out 14 in a 2-hit shutout while also going 2-4 with a double. Caleb Hilliard and Noah Hammer had RBIs for the Panthers.

Tyler Bradt (VMI) threw 5.1 innings strong and was 1-3 with a 2B and 2 RBIs and Nick Noonan was 2-3 with a 2B and 2 RBIs for the Wildcats. Bryce Safferwich (James Madison) was 2-3 for Godwin.

No. 13 Hanover 6, Atlee 4
The Hawks bounced back from an early 4-0 deficit to stay undefeated on the spring. Eric Anderson tossed 4.1 strong innings of relief and Will Bowles () was 1-2 with a 2B and 2 RBIs. Zack Beach (Coastal Carolina) had a home run and was 1-2 with 2 BBs and 2 RBIs for Atlee.

No. 24 Hickory 2, No. 19 Nansemond River 1
Jaren Snellinger held Nansemond to 3 hits in 5 innings while Brenden Barnes was 2-3 for the Hawks. Bryson Dansberry (Radford) was 2-3 with a walk for the Warriors.
