Player of the Week

 

In Prep Baseball’s April 8 to April 14 Player of the Week, Matthew Shorey, a left handed pitcher from the class of 2024 dazzled in his outing, registering 21 strikeouts over 9.1 innings in a 1-0 victory without allowing a walk. Draft HQ

 

THE WAR ROOM: Thursday, April 18, Prep Baseball’s Draft HQ premiered its new series ‘The War Room’ featuring VP of Scouting, Shooter Hunt and Senior Draft HQ Advisor, D.J. Svihlik. In the first episode, the duo discuss the general changes in baseball scouting from where it started to take off with Branch Rickey’s Brooklyn Dodgers to today with Prep Baseball’s evolving resources, the technology involved, what scouts are looking for and more.

Arizona

Saturday, April 13, Prep Baseball Arizona hosted its Rising Stars ID event at Grand Canyon University. Featuring prospects from the classes of 2028 and 2029, see results, notes and video from the event.

Indiana
