WHAT TO WATCH FOR:

Expectations for Team - With multiple 3 year starters for the Saints, will have to lean on depth and experience this year. The rotation should take some of the pressure off the bats with 5 returning arms.

From the Coach, Expected Team Strength - 
John Paul II will have a deep pitching staff, which is needed with a full 24 game schedule.  Defensively we should be solid with many above average defensive players.  Our big question mark and challenge is going to be at the plate.  We lost some high average and high potential hitters.  We've focused our Fall workouts in the weight room and we hope to see that pay off on the field.          

THOUGHTS ON THE CONFERENCE:

Wayne Country Day is a state title contender.  Wayne Christian has been improving for several seasons and will be a very good team this season.  Greenfield has some very good players and will be challenging.  Parrot is always good and will continue to be at the top of the conference.  Coastal Christian joins the conference this season and they have fielded very good teams the last few seasons we've played them.  John Paul II should be competitive with all teams in the conference.
