Team Georgia 13u: Game Two Recap

Thursday July 27th marks day 2 of games for the PBR Junior Future Games and Team Georgia. After coming off a offensive explosion in game 1,putting up 16 runs in one inning and 20 total the boys were back in action this morning against Team Louisiana. The Offense picked right up where it left off, putting up 4 runs in the top of the 1st, Dominic Rossy set the table leading off with a single, Jaycob Veloz wasted no time ambushing a 1-0 FB for a single. Kingston Jones got us on the board, getting the barrel out front and using the RCF gap for a RBI single. Keeping the rally going was SS/RHP Chase Alonso, manipulating his barrel and shooting one 94 MPH just to the right of the CF for a big 2 RBI triple. Getting the starting nod on the mound this morning was SS/RHP Chase Alonso, Worked 2 innings and competed for us, attacking the zone with his FB/CH mix, holding  Louisiana to 2 runs. After a slow few innings the bats started to come alive again, Gavin Greene got us back on the board by lacing a RBI single to LCF scoring one, cutting the deficit to 3. Team GA used relied heavily on the bullpen this morning, Liam Collier gave us one inning and bridged the gap for Gianni Gandy who pounded the zone for us striking out 1 and limiting Louisiana to 1 run. The bats went cold today while a impressive staff from team louisiana, Georgia falls in game 2 13-5, looking ahead the boys take on MOKAN in game 3 Friday.
