Team Georgia had a rough start but dominated the rest of the game to come out on top, with a couple of singles from Team Oklahoma that made their way through the infield to get a couple of runs but Nolan Henderson picked it up to strike out the side. In the second inning, Miles Norman scored on a passed ball, who got on-base with a walk. This was followed by a single up the middle by Hudson Will, scoring Beckett Brown, then Braden Little on a throwing error to take the lead and make the score 3-2 at the end of the 2nd inning. Henderson finished the day with 2 IP, 4 K’s. Carter Allen came in in the 3rd, let a couple batters on but shut it down on the next 3 batters, striking out the side. Team Georgia scored again in the 3rd on a bases-loaded walk from Ryan Johansen, scoring Malachi Butler who got on-base with a walk too, extending Georgia’s lead to 4-2 at the end of the 3rd. Allen finished the day with 2 IP, 5 K’s, 0 ER. Pitching was clearly lockdown for Georgia today, with Ryan Johansen coming in the 5th with a 1-2-3 inning with 1 strikeout. Team Georgia put up another run in the 5th on a Jax Lathem sacrifice-fly at the warning track, scoring Braden Little who got on-base with a walk. This led Team Georgia to a 5-2 final, with excellent pitching, a lot of walks and well-timed hits.
