Welcome to the Maryland High School Baseball Scoreboard. This spring, Prep Baseball Report Maryland will continue to strive to provide the most comprehensive baseball coverage the state has to offer. We will be reporting scores along with posting game recaps and highlighting teams and individual performances throughout the spring season. Monday March 25th

No. 2 Calvert Hall 15Mount St. Joseph 1
+ Jose Torres (2-for-4, 3 RBI's, 2 R), Parker Landwehr (3-for-4, 1 RBI, 2 R's), Antonio Barranca (3-for-3, 2 RBI's, 1 R), Alex Khan (2-for-3, 1 RBI, 2 R's), and Owen Liberto (2-for-3, 2 RBI's, 1 R) led the way offensively for the Cardinals in the blowout. Pete Marchineck picked up the win pitching four strong giving up one run on three hits while striking out five. 

No. 3 Gilman 6No. 21 John Carroll 5
+ In an early back and forth affair, Gilman and John Carroll were deadlocked at three a piece through seven. Fasano's two-RBI double for the visiting Patriots broke the tie in the top of the ninth but they couldn't hang on as Calvert Hall walked it off on two straight hit-batsmen with the bases loaded to tie it and a walk with the bases loaded to end it. 

Pembroke Pines (FL) 6No. 4 DeMatha 0
+ Khalil Brown (3-for-4) and Preston Moltz (2-for-3) led DeMatha offensively. Alex Greene went four innings on the bump giving up four runs (one earned) on four hits and four walks in the loss.

No. 5 Huntingtown 10Thomas Stone 0
+ Ethan Poore, Jack Rosnage, and Matt Pritchett combined to throw a perfect game. Poore went three innings tossing seven strikouts and Rosnage threw one, and Pritchett closed it out by striking out the side in the fifth inning. Joe Mozingo (2-for-3, 2 RBI's, R) and Stafford Allison (2-for-3, RBI, R) led the offense. Cy Harwood scored three times and Ryan Terrents scored twice for the Hurricanes. 

No. 6 Howard 11Centennial 1
+ Nathan Dawes and Jarrett Maynor split the game on the mound each going three innings for the win. Gabe Delgado (3-for-3, 2 R's), Nate Howell (3-for-3, 2 RBI's, 1 R), and Jerry O'Neill (2-for-3, 1 RBI, 2 R's) led the offensive attack. John Shinnamon and Jerras Murray each added two RBI's.

No. 10 Thomas Johnson 3North Hagerstown 1
+ Ian Selby collected two hits and Ryan Talbert added a triple in the Hubs loss. Ryan Clark started for North Hagerstown and struck out six. 

No. 11 Boonsboro 4, Catoctin 4
+ Mason Albright pitched four scoreless innings for Catoctin striking out five while giving up just two hits in the game called after eight innings. Boonsboro jumped on relief pitcher JJ Zirkle scoring two in both the fifth and sixth to tie the game. Aaron Hartle (2-for-3, RBI) and Zach Taylor (2-for-2, RBI) led the Warriors offense. Logan Simanski (3-for-4, RBI), Briar Castellow (2-for-3, R), and Bryson Caballerow (2-for-4, RBI, R) had big days at the plate for Catoctin.

No. 12 La Plata 8, Patuxent 2
+ Ryan Calvert led the way offensively for the Warriors going 3-for-4 with two RBI's, and two runs scored. Dean Kirby gave up one run over four innings pitched to earn the win. Tyler Moody, Shane Kirby, and Brandon DeAtley each pitched one inning in relief to seal the victory. 

No. 14 Northern (Cal.) 18St. Charles 0
+ Grayson Lewis and Matt Jarman combined to pitch a two hit shutout. Mason Davidson went 3-for-3 with three RBI's and scored three runs, Nick White went 2-for-2 with a two-run HR, Josh Johnson was 2-for-3 with a double, triple, RBI, and three runs scored, and Marcus Lee Sang went 1-for-1 with a double and three RBI's.

Broadneck 3, No. 15 Severa Park 0
+ Brendan Simonds gave up three runs on four hits and struck out eight in the loss.

No. 16 Chesapeake-AA 12, Meade 0
+ Mike Mulford pitched a complete game three hit shutout for the Cougars striking out four along the way. Colton Spangler (1-for-1, R), Dylan Young (2-for-3, RBI, 2 R's), Tyler Shadle (2-for-2, 2 RBI's, R), Lee Robinson (1-for-2, RBI, 2 R's), and Daniel Stern (2-for-2, 2 RBI's, 2 R's) led the offense.

No. 17 Archbishop Curley 21, St. Paul’s 3
+ Tyler Locklear went 4-for-4 at the plate with a double, four RBI's, and scored three runs to lead the Friars offensive explosion. Gavin Evans (2-for-4, 4 RBI's, R) and Derrick Booker (2-for-3, 4 RBI's, 2 R's) both homered and Tristan Schoendienst (3-for-3, 4 RBI's, R), and Alvin Carela (3-for-3, 3R's) had big days at the plate. 

No. 18 Colonel Richardson 10, Kent County 4
+ Jamison Covey went six innings striking out nine while allowing four runs on seven hits and Remington Mangum closed it out striking out the side in his one inning of work. Peyton Taylor led Kent County's offense with two hits and a run scored.  

No. 19 Leonardtown 10, Lackey 0
+ Al Stumm and Blake Withrow combined to pitch a shutout and Nick Burch (2-for-3, 2 R's), Matt Bobrowski (3-for-3, 3 RBI's, 2 R's), Ethan Ledig (1-for-1, 2 RBI's, R), Jalen Camp (3-for-4, R), and Cole Tarleton (1-for-1, 2 RBI's) led the offense for the Raiders. 

Northeast 4, No. 25 Old Mill 1
+ Caleb Bailey went 2-for-3 at the plate but it wasn't enough as Northeast tagged Patriots starter Markus Thompson for three runs in the third to take the lead and held on to win the game.

No. 7 Georgetown Prep 11, No. 3 Gilman 1
+ Jack Flannery threw a 54 pitch - 5 inning complete game for the Hoyas allowing one run on three hits, while striking out one. Brendan Hurt (1-for-3, 2 RBI's, 2 R's), Travis Rinker (2-for-2, 1 RBI, 2 R's), Max Kaye (1-for-3, 2 RBI's), Ryan Gleason (2-for-3, 3 RBI's, 1 R), and Charlie Furlong (2-for-3, 1 RBI, 1 R) led the ten hit attack for Georgetown Prep. Jackson McCambridge went 2-for-2 with a run scored for the Gilman at the plate and Pierce Bennett picked up the lone RBI.

No. 6 Howard 8, Reservoir 1
+ Howard offense scored in six of the seven innings led by Jerry O'Neill (2-for-3, RBI, R), Brian Jakubek (2-for-4, 2 RBI's), and Will Simmons (2-for-4, 2 RBI's, 2 R's). Gabe Delgado started and went five innings for the win scattering three hits and striking out six.

+ Remington Mangum threw a complete game for the win.

+ Henry Pavco-Giaccia went four innings for the bulldogs striking out ten batters without giving up a hit. Zack Baskin went 2-for-4 with four RBI's and scored three runs, and Pavco-Giaccia went 2-for-3 with an RBI to pace Bullis offensively. 

No. 23 Dulaney 6, Eastern Tech 2
+ Todd Mozoki went five scoreless and hitless innings striking out eight. Offensively, Mozoki went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored and Brian Ellis went 1-for-2 with a HR and three RBI's.

No. 24 Charles H. Flowers 11Dr. Henry Wise 5
+ Flowers scored six in the bottom of the sixth to break a 5-5 tie for the win. Tremayne Cobb Jr. went 1-for-3 with 2 runs scored, Joshua Cochrane went 1-for-2 with an RBI and scored three times, Keith Wallace went 1-for-4 with an RBI and scored three times as well, Chase Thompson went 1-for-1 with three RBI's and a run scored, and Brandon Bradshaw added two RBI's for the Jaguars offensively. Sean Cordero started on the bump going three hitless and scoreless innings striking out seven. Terrell Delaney came on in relief of Raymond Smith Jr. to close the game.

Wednesday March 27th

 

No. 17 Archbishop Curley 10No. 1 Archbishop Spalding 3
+ Derrick Booker and TJ Williams led the Curley offense with four of the teams five hits on the day. Booker went 2-for-4 with five RBI's and two homeruns including a grand slam in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Williams went 2-for-3 with a double and drove in three runs. Cory Blohm led the Spalding offense with a 3-for-4 day and three RBI's. James Michel earned the win going five innings giving up three runs on six hits while striking out three. Noah Mrotek took the loss only managing to go two and two-thirds giving up five runs on three hits while striking out two. 

 No. 2 Calvert Hall 5, No. 21 John Carroll 3
+ The Cardinals scored four runs late to rally for the win. Lamar King doubled in the top of the sixth to tie the game at three before a bases loaded walk broke the tie ballgame. Sami Khan added an insurance run in the seventh on a line drive RBI single to right field. Brady Power went six innings for the Cardinals on the mound giving up three runs on five hits while striking out four. Tyler Blittersdorf cruised through the first five innings on the mound for John Carroll allowing just one run but hit two batters to start the Cardinals rally in the sixth and was saddled with the loss.  

No. 3 Gilman 8, No. 8 Loyola-Blakefield 4
+ Gilman jumped out to an early five run lead in the first inning and never looked back. Bishop (2-for-4, R), Myers (2-for-3, 2 RBI's, 2 R's), Williamson (1-for-3, 2 RBI's), and Phillipou (1-for-2, 1 RBI, 1 R) led the offense for the Greyhounds. 

Miami Killian (FL) 8No. 4 DeMatha 2
+ Khalil Brown (2-for-3, RBI), Clark Burroughs (2-for-3), and Alex Greene (2-for-3) led the offense for the Stags. Blake Badman started and only went one and one-third giving up seven runs on seven walks and two hits.

Mt. Hebron 3No. 6 Howard 2
+ Alex Campbell went 2-for-3 with a run scored and Brian Jakubeck went 1-for-2 with an RBI but it wasn't enough as Howard fell to Mt. Hebron 3-2. Brendan Foster took the loss pitching three and two-thirds giving up three runs on three hits and four walks. Foster struck out five. Dunn and Tommy Fitzpatrick combined to stifle the Lions offensively and Barke went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI's.

Elsinore School (CA) 3, No. 7 Georgetown Prep 2 - Game 1

No. 7 Georgetown Prep 11, Elsinore School (CA) 1 - Game 2
+ Lucas Donlon went nuts at the plate going 4-for-4 with five RBI's and three runs scored for the Hoyas as they bounced back in game 2. Cian Sahler (2-for-3, RBI, 2R's) and Anthony Fiallo (2-for-3, RBI) each collected multiple hits at the plate. Michael Lynott went four scoreless innings for the win on the mound allowing just one hit while striking out two.

Oakdale 7, No. 11 Boonsboro 7
+ In another unfinished game from this week for Boonsboro, they will pick this one back up at a later date tied 7-7 with Oakdale. TJ Kalagher is 3-for-4, Peyton Mason is 1-for-3 with three RBI's and two runs scored, and Dalton Shank is 1-for-3 with three RBI's and one run scored. Ethan Reifer (2-for-3, 3 R's), Justin Ritter (1-for-3, 2 RBI's, R), and Robert Wachter (2-for-3, RBI, R) are pacing the offense for the Bears.

Calvert 12, No. 12 La Plata 3

+ Robert Jurney walked one and struck out ten in the no-hitter. 

No. 15 Severna Park 13, Arundel 2
+ Evan Lewis improved to (2-0) on the mound this season striking out eight in a five-inning complete game. Jacob Way (3-for-3, 2 RBI's, 3 R's), Camden Handwerger (2-for-4, RBI, 2 R's), Josh Horgan (1-for-3, 3 R's), Brendan Simonds (1-for-3, 3 RBI's, 2 R's), Jordan Hallet (2-for-3, RBI), Parker Jones (1-for-3, 2 RBI's, R), and Mark Sasse (2-for-3, RBI, R) each had nice days at the plate. 

No. 16 Chesapeake-AA 7, Glen Burnie 6
+ Glen Burnie tied the ballgame with two runs in the top of the seventh before James Hawkins walked it of with a infield single to shortstop. Tyler Shadle added two hits and and RBI, Lee Robinson went 3-for-3 with an RBI and run scored, Tommy Lewis went 2-for-2 with a run scored, and Daniel Stern added a hit and two RBI's. Justin Reis went 2-for-3 with two RBI's and Alan Fangman added a hit and two RBI's for the Gophers. Cougars starter Colby Buckheit went five inning surrendering four runs (three earned) on six hits while striking out five. Reed Matkins got the win. 

No. 19 Leonardtown 9, North Point 1
+ Cole Tarleton started for the Raiders and went four scoreless innings striking out four in the win. Nick Burch paced the offense with four hits becoming the new Leonardtown all-time hits leader with 100 in his career. Jalen Camp went 2-for-4 with two RBI's and a run scored, Ethan Ledig went 1-for-2 with two RBI's and two runs scored, and Matt Bobrowski added two RBI's and two runs scored. 

No. 20 Saint Michaels 7, Kent County 1
+ Grant LaBelle went four and one-third for St. Michael's allowing just one run on four hits to earn the win. Josh Risher (2-for-3, RBI, R) and Nick Newnam (1-for-3, 2 RBI's) led the offense.  

No. 25 Old Mill 8, Meade 5
+ Old Mill scored 4 in the fifth to take the lead and held on to win. Ian Adams went 3-for-5 with two RBI's and a run scored, Hunter Parish went 2-for-3 and Caleb Bailey went 2-for-2 with two RBI's and a run scored to lead the way offensively.
