Thanks to the technology of Google Analytics we are able to drill down into the Prep Baseball Report website and see what pages get the most page views. This feedback assists us in adjusting and adapting our coverage.  It’s also interesting to see what our readership likes the most.

Though we are a few days later than usual due to the Super 60 and the OK Preseason All-State Games at the beging of the month, today, PBR Oklahoma takes a look at the Top 20 most read Oklahoma high school player profiles from January 2018 from number one down to twenty. Each players full profile can be seen by clicking on their picture.

Jake Adams RHP / OF / Bethany , OK / 2018

12-17-17
A 6-foot-3, long and athletic frame with plenty of room to continue to add size and strength. On the mound, works from an average tempo delivery with rhythm and an up-down-and-out leg kick. Arm action is full, fluid, and loose, coming through a high-¾ slot with arm speed, and a slight recoil finish. Fastball sits 87-88 and touches 89 mph with some downhill tilt, mostly strikes. Slider is already advanced with a chance to become a plus pitch in the future, 11/5-10/4 shape with tight spin and late depth thrown with full arm speed, 75-78 mph. Changeup is still developing, 81-82 mph, some strikes.

Nate Wohlgemuth RHP / OF / Owasso, OK / 2020

Wohlgemuth, has a barrel-chested frame at 5-foot-9, 220 pounds. At the plate, he was 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and an RBI, but he was most impressive on the mound. He faced six batters, striking out five, and tied an event record by hitting 95 with his fastball. He has an up-tempo, athletic delivery with a fast arm and quality leg drive. He sat 92-94 and showed an excellent changeup with some fade at 80-82. He breaking ball had slurvy shape and some depth at 75-79. At the plate, he is short to the ball with strong hands and a rotational finish, 91 mph exit velo. Ran a 6.72 60 and threw 95 mph from the outfield.

Cayden Aldridge C / OF / Tahlequah, OK / 2018

12-17-17
A physically impressive 6-foot-3, 205-pound frame with strength throughout. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a wide open set-up with rhythm throughout and barrel tilted towards the pitcher. Uses a smooth load and a late hand wiggle before launching his hands on a slightly uphill path through contact, some length. In BP, shows a gap to gap approach, mostly barrels, and more pop than his 79 mph exit velo with wood would suggest. Defensively, shows an elite arm with 1.85-1.95 showcase pop times, some accuracy, slightly above average receiver and blocker. Runs a 7.01 60.

Dax Fulton LHP / 1B / Mustang , OK / 2020

8-10-17
Fulton, a re Vanderbilt commit, has long limbs and a strong lower half at 6-foot-6, 210 pounds. He pitches with a clean, up-tempo delivery and comes through a high-3/4 slot with a fluid arm action. His fastball sits 84-87 with occasional cut. His changeup has late fade and depth at 75-77. His curveball shows excellent depth when down in the zone. It has 1/7 shape and ranges from 73-79.

Tyler Polk RHP / OF / Duncan, OK / 2018

8-5-17
A 5-foot-11, 200-pound frame with some strength throughout. On the mound, works from a smooth and uptempo delivery with above average effort. Arm action is full, loose, clean, and fast, coming through a high-3/4 slot. Fastball sits 89-94 mph with occasional arm-side run. Slider flashes sharpness 78-80 mph, slurvy otherwise. Slows arm speed on changeup at times, 81-82 mph with fade.

Javier Ramos SS / RHP / Vian, OK / 2018

4-2017
On the mound, the 6-foot-5 Missouri State commit tossed 6 solid innings. Featured a fastball sat 86-89 and touched 90 mph, with above average command. Showed the slider sparingly as a chase pitch, got swings and misses, 75-77 mph. Flashed a changeup with some fade, 73-76 mph.

The Missouri State commit has a physically impressive 6-foot-6, 190-pound frame with room to add more size and strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter starts from an open and slightly knock-kneed set-up with rhythm throughout. Uses a short and smooth rocking load, hands take a short path to contact with bat speed and a high finish. In BP, shows a middle of the field approach with some lift, some barrels, 90 mph exit velo with wood. Runs a 7.00 laser timed 60. Defensively, shows easy and confident actions with soft hands. Throws from multiple slots with some accuracy, 89 mph across the diamond.

Kohl Franklin RHP / 3B / Broken Arrow, OK / 2018

A 6-foot-4, 195-pound frame with lots of room to continue to add size and strength. On the mound, works from a slightly uptempo delivery with an over the head hand lift and a high leg kick before getting into his back leg and driving to the plate. Arm action has moderate length in the back before coming through a high-3/4 slot cleanly. Fastball sits 86-89 mph with some downhill tilt. Changeup is thrown with full arm speed, shows late fade, commanded, 77-78 mph.

Ian Daugherty C / RHP / Kingfisher, OK / 2021

8-20-17
A physically advanced 6-foot-1,180-pound frame with strength throughout. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a slightly open and athletic set-up with rhythm in his hands. Uses a simple and smooth load with a short stride for timing. Hands are short to the ball, barrel stays in the zone a long time, slightly uphill path, good extension, quality leg drive. In BP, shows a middle to pull approach, launching most balls to the pull side gap. Found consistent barrels, excellent round, 84 mph exit velo. Runs a 4.74 home-to-first. Defensively, shows above average receiving and advanced blocking. Posted consistent 1.96-2.08 showcase pop times with clean footwork and exchanges, short arm action from a 3/4 slot, some are strength, 72 mph. In the game, went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Bryce Crawford RHP / OF / Dale, OK / 2019

12-17-17
A 6-foot-2, 190-pound lean frame with some strength throughout. On the mound, works from a simple and average tempo delivery, strides short and open. Arm action is short in the back and come through a high-¾ slot with arm speed and quickness. Fastball ranges 82-87 mph with downhill tilt and occasional late sink and arm side run. Slider has 11/5 shape with tight spin and some depth, spins out at times, 74-74. Changeup is thrown with full arm speed and shows some fade, 76-78 mph. Crawford’s electric arm will make him a player to watch has he polishes his mechanics and continues to put on size. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats form a back leg heavy, slightly open set-up with a slight crouch, and rhythm in his hands. Uses a small leg kick with some lift in his load, hands are short to the ball, shows good extension in his finish. In BP shows a middle to pull, flat approach, mostly barrels, more pop than his 83 mph exit velo would suggest. Runs a 6.87 60. Defensively, shows some athletic and raw actions, charges the ball well and shows good hands, often taking an extra shuffle before throwing. Throws from an over the top slot, moderate arm action in the back, strides open, some accuracy and advanced arm strength, 87 mph with occasional arm side run.

Wyatt Olds RHP / McLoud , OK / 2018

10/29/2016
A 6-foot, 170-pound athletic build. Works from a slightly up-tempo delivery with good rhythm and athleticism. Olds has a long arm stroke in the back before whipping his arm through at a just above side arm slot, and a violent finish. Fastball sits 87-89 with massive arm side run and sink. Slider has 10/4 shape with late depth, backs up at times, 73-77 mph. Easily one of the best arms in Oklahoma’s 2018 class. Olds struck out five of the six batters he faced in two innings, not allowing a hit.

Kale Davis RHP / 3B / Westmoore, OK / 2019

8-3-17
An Oklahoma State commit, Davis stands 6-foot-4, 210-pounds.  On the mound, fluid delivery, good rhythm, over the top slot, upright finish. Fastball sits 88-89 mph with some downhill tilt and advanced command. One of the best curveballs in the class at 73-76 with 12/6 shape and late depth and advanced command. Also shows a developing changeup.

Caleb Case LHP / 1B / Stillwater, OK / 2019

12-17-17
A physically advanced 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame with some strength throughout. On the mound, works from an average tempo delivery with rhythm, rocks his hands over his head and uses a high leg kick before striking down the mound with excellent leg drive. Arm action is long of of the break then gets high and short in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball sits 85-86 mph and touched 87, with the two seam showing consistent and late arm side run and the four seam keeping it plane. At 73-77 mph the slider, already above average, has a chance to be a plus pitch in the future, thrown with full arm speed and late 2/8 depth, hangs at times, thrown as a chase pitch and for strikes. Changeup is also thrown with full arm speed with fade, 73-76 some strikes. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from a wide and athletic stance with rhythm throughout. Uses a slight knee-knock leg kick with an arm boar load, some length in the swing with very quick hands and strength. In BP, shows a flat and pull approach with occasional lift and advanced pop, almost all barrels, 92 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.09 60. Defensively, shows athletic actions with excellent lateral movement and quick arm from a short and low slot, 78 mph with accuracy.

Price Allman RHP / SS / Metro Christian Academy , OK / 2020

12-17-17
A lean and projectable 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame. On the mound, works from an average tempo deliver with a high leg kick and solid rhythm that he repeats well. Arm circle is short and fluid in the back and comes through an over-the-top slot with some hand speed, hides the ball effectively.. Fastball sat 78-80 at this event with downhill tilt, through we have seen it touch 83 previously. Curveball has 12/6 shape with some late depth at 68-69 mph. Still developing a feel for the changeup, 72-74 mph. Showed a good feel for the strike zone with the fastball and curveball. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a slightly back leg heavy, open set-up with some bend in his knees and rhythm in his hands. Uses a small leg kick with a moderate stride before launching his hands on a flat path to contact with aggression. In BP, shows a middle to pull approach, some lift, some barrels, 81 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.3 laser timed 60. Defensively, shows well advanced footwork and hands with good lateral movement. Throws from a high-¾ slot with moderate length in the back, excellent accuracy, putting every throw on target with a top velo of 79 mph.

Benjamin MacNaughton SS / OF / Edmond North, OK / 2018

7-31-17
A lean and athletic 6-foot, 160-pound frame with plenty of room to add size and strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an open, athletic set-up. Uses a small leg lift, smooth load, and short stride, flat path through contact with loose and quick hands. In BP, shows a middle to pull, flat approach, mostly barrels, 84 mph exit velo. An advanced runner, 6.82 60. Defensively, in the infield, shows above average feet with smooth actions and soft hands, advanced range as well. Shows the ability to throw from multiple slots with some accuracy, 75 mph. In the outfield, shows athletic and clean actions with excellent closing speed. Could play both positions at the next level. In the game, went 2-for-3 with two singles and two stolen bases, getting good jumps.

Bryce Logan SS / 2B / Deer Creek, OK / 2021

8-20-17
A 5-foot-6, 125-pound developing frame. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an open, upright, and quite set-up. Uses a moderate leg kick and smooth load, flat path to contact with a high finish. In BP, shows an all fields flat approach with mostly barrels, 74 mph exit velo. Runs a 4.27 home-to-first. Defensively, shines with quick and athletic movements, advanced feet and hands, and a quick release on the throw from a 3/4 slot with some accuracy, 76 mph. In the game, went 1-for-2 with a single, two walks, and a line out to second.

Carson Atwood RHP / 3B / Silo , OK / 2020

10/29/17 
A 6-foot, 190-pound durable frame with strength throughout. On the mound, works from an up tempo delivery with athleticism, rhythm, and quality leg drive down the mound that he repeats well. Arm action is full, fluid, and fast, coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball shows some downhill tilt, 87-89 mph and touched a 90 in warmups. Slider shows late 11/5 shape with some late depth and tight spin, could turn into a plus pitch down the road. Changeup shows above average fade, 72-73 mph.  In the game, Atwood was dominant, not allowing a hit and striking out two hitters in his inning of work. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an open and athletic set up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth load with a moderate knee knock leg kick, drops his hands slightly before pulling them through an uphill path with some bat speed and leverage. In BP, shows a dead pull approach with pop, finding mostly barrels and showing strength. Exit velo of 87 mph. Runs a 7.34 60. Defensively, has a frame that will likely keep him at third base where he could develop into a plus defender with above average feet and hands and excellent arm strength. Shows the ability to throw from multiple slots with accuracy using a short arm stroke in the back, 85 mph across the diamond consistently. In the game, put a couple good swings on balls showing advanced pop.

Max Huffling LHP / 1B / Deer Creek , OK / 2019

10/29/17
A physically impressive 6-foot-8, 225-pound frame with strength throughout. On the mound, works from a smooth and controlled delivery with average effort. Arm action is full, getting high in the back early before coming through a 3/4 slot. Fastball flashes arm side run at 80-83 mph and bumps 84-85 whenever Huffling reaches back for more with some downhill tilt. Breaking ball shows 2/8 shape with gradual break, 69-70 mph. In his outing, Huffling seemed to show more command as he loosed up and attacked hitters with his best fastball. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a slightly front foot heavy set-up with the barrel tipped towards the pitcher and some rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth load, with some arm bar and a short stride before launching quick and strong hands on a slightly uphill path with with bat speed and quality extension. In BP, shows a pull gap approach with consistent lift and strength, leaving the yard multiple times, one of the best rounds of the day. Exit velo of 90 mph. Runs a 7.53 60. Defensively, shows deliberate and clean actions around the bag, 78 mph to second base. In the game, earned two free bases and launched a towering home run over the left field wall and net.

An Oklahoma State commit with a 6-foot-2, 165-pound long and athletic frame. On the mound, uses a smooth and athletic delivery that he repeats well. Fastball sits 87-90 mph and flashes arm side run, above average command. Slider shows 11/5 shape with late depth, 75-78 mph. Offensively, the right-handed hitter shows advanced bat speed with leverage. Defensively, shows advanced actions with soft hands and a strong and accurate arm with a long arm stroke.

Wade Elliott 3B / SS / Deer Creek, OK / 2019

5/31/17
A Missouri commit. Stands 6-foot-1, 205 pounds with strength throughout. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a relaxed upright stance with rhythm in his hands. Uses a moderate hanging leg kick for timing and is short to the ball with very quick hands. In BP, shows a gap to gap approach with lift occasionally pulling down the line, big pop, multiple balls off the wall, exit velo of 91 at this event, previously 99 mph. Runs a 7.26 60. Defensively, shows elite hands and feet with rhythm and confidence making every play with ease. Throws from a low-3/4 slot with a very quick release, 77 mph, some accuracy. In the game, went 1-for-2 with two HBP’s, a strikeout, and blasted a double to the pull gap.

Carson Orton RHP / 1B / Heritage Hall, OK / 2018

A 6-foot-1, 215-pound, thick bodied broad frame with strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an athletic, front foot heavy set-up with some rhythm throughout. Uses a smooth rocking load with a moderate stride and slight arm bar, slightly uphill path with bat speed and strength. In BP, shows a pull gap approach with pop, barreled almost every ball, excellent round, 87 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.64 60. Defensively, shows average actions, throws from a low-3/4 slot with a loose arm, some accuracy, 72 mph. In the game, went 2-for-4 with an RBI double that one-hopped the wall in center field.  On the mound, works from an average tempo delivery with some rhythm. Uses a clean, moderate arm circle, high-3/4 slot, and speed out front. Fastball shows cut 86-88 mph with some downhill tilt. Two-seam has slight run 83-84 mph. Slider is sharp with depth and 11/5 shape, 78-80 mph. Changeup shows some fade, 82-83 mph. In the game, was around the zone with all three pitches.
