As the summer rolls along, the commitment train continues to gather passengers. One of the latest is 2019 RHP/OF Trey Tujetsch of Ardrey Kell HS in Charlotte, NC. Trey is an athletic player who is still working to reach a potentially high ceiling. In the last month reports of jumps in velocity have become routine.
After several stellar outings in the past couple of weeks, Tujetsch visited Coach Mark Kingston and the University of South Carolina. Look back at PBR's data from the past year and the upward trajectory Trey has taken.

Scouting Report
01.28.17
Still working to build to maximum arm speed, stayed under control throughout the January bullpen with the fastball reaching 81. Easy delivery, simple mechanics, and repeats throughout. Average arm speed from a high-3/4 slot uses a long arm stroke. Lands on line, keeping his shoulders level throughout. Breaking ball has a good ceiling, showing 11/5 late downer type action. Maintains hand speed and head posture on the spin pitch, ranging 68-69. Flashed change-up in the zone at 72-73. Looks to have a feel for pitch-ability, moving fastball around the zone and showing feel for off-speed location. Works easy to produce a lot of solid results from an athletic frame that can add strength. Ran a 4.03 thirty and arm strength tested at 85mph from the outfield. Right handed thrower works free and easy into a repeatable high-3/4 slot. Advanced accuracy for the age. In the box, right handed hitter is simple and easy producing premium barrel awareness. Balanced setup and short stride work to a better than average bat quickness. Level path stayed gap-to-gap. Head posture is very disciplined throughout. Exit velocity topped at 79. Standing broad jump tested at 7-foot-11.
11.06.16
An easy simple delivery that is repeat-able, creates downhill action from a high-3/4 slot. Landing slightly closed, with an ability to get through the pitch, and finishing with athleticism. The arm swing is long and loose, producing a quick hand, with the fastball sitting 81-84. Change-up is the second pitch, ranging 73-77 with arm side action and deceptive hand speed. The breaking ball flashes as an option, but can be inconsistent, topping at 71, with late 11/5 action. Plenty of room for growth in the young, athletic 5-foot-10, 160 pound frame. Extremely versatile with a solid fundamental base. Ran his sixty in 7.05, and continued the theme of athleticism and quickness with an arm speed measured at 85mph. Loose arm works to a high-3/4 with above average accuracy and carry. Offensively, the right handed hitter works from an athletic base with a smooth load back and short stride. Lower half works, creating looseness in the swing, with at least average bat speed. Direct path produced line drives, working gap-to-gap, with well above average barrel awareness. Some wrap in the bat at the load position and some body coil, but it did not seem to bother the swing that works with good rhythm. Exit velocity topped at 82mph.
