Norcal Player of the Week: Brandon Rundgren

2020 INF Brandon Rundgren has been named the Prep Baseball Report Northern California Player of the Week for March 25-31, as his offensive production led #15 Franklin HS to two conference wins over Pleasant Grove.
In the two games he was a combined 3-for-6 with two walks, four runs scored, seven RBI and a home run as the Wildcats won by scores of 11-3 and 6-3, moving to 5-0 in the Delta League. The junior 2nd baseman scored or drove in 11 of the teams 17 runs. Rundgren is currently uncommitted although he does have a number of D1 programs showing some interest. For good measure he is also the quarterback for the varsity football team.
For the season Rundgren is hitting .385 in 29 plate appearances. He leads the team in RBI with 12, home runs with 2, has also tripled, and scored 7 runs. The Wildcat line-up is one of the deeper line-ups in Northern California and Rundgren no doubt is a major part of one the state's top teams.
