SEASON OUTLOOK

The 2018 Yukon Millers will look to build on their success last year where they fell just short of a state championship. They will go at with many of the same cast members including six returning position players and two arms that tossed over 15 innings a season ago. Yukon will have even more depth this year with another six newcomers to the varsity squad that could have notable impacts. The senior leadership for Yukon will likely come for the very experienced Dalton DeBaud

Offensively, the Millers will likely again lean on Nollan Koon and Payton Miller, first and second team all conference picks last year respectively. The duo will supply as much power as any in the middle of the line up. South Carolina commit Brayden Wimmer could be another power threat, but may miss most of the season.

On the mound, the Millers wont lack the stuff to get most any lineups out. Jack Pritchard will feature a fastball that can touch 90 with an sharp curveball. Dekota Ward will get into the upper 80s with solid pitchability. B.J. Lee will likely round out the rotation with deception and a lot of strikes.

Defensively, the Millers will be strongest behind the plate with Miller and Koon sharing the duties. DeBaud will likely captain the outfield with his experience.
