UPDATED 2017 OVERALL RANKINGS  RELEASED

It’s been a busy three-plus months since the last Class of 2017 rankings update. The winter months, both on the state and national levels, have shed more light on this extraordinarily talented and deep senior class. Our updated Top 400 Class of 2017 rankings reflect everything our boots-on-the-ground scouting staff has seen.

It is important to note that the PBR overall rankings only include the states that we intimately know from our scouting staff. The updated Top 400 Class of 2017 rankings is comprised of our current 34-state coverage area, which now includes Texas prospects. The PBR Draft 100, which lists the top 100 draft prospects in the country, will be updated later in the month.

RECRUITING ESSENTIALS: THE RE-BOOT

Families and players are at a distinct disadvantage when compared to college coaches in dealing with the recruiting process.  College coaches live the recruiting process. For years upon years, their livelihood is based on their ability to know the rules, understand the process, and land incoming players that will make their program better. On the other hand, players and parents may become experts on the recruiting process, but most of the time that “black-belt” is earned through trial and error and after the decision process is complete.

In the coming weeks and months, Prep Baseball Report is re-booting a very popular segment to help players and parents understand the recruiting process, and how to attack their decision process.
