PBR: What were you expectations about the recruiting process: Was it as expected? Easy/Difficult?
McGahan: I wanted to play baseball at an SEC school. It was hard work, but it wall worth it.
PBR: Did location or distance from home play a role i your decision?
McGahan: Yes, I wanted to stay in state so that my family can watch me play.
PBR: Where did Missouri first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
McGahan: They first saw me at the PBR showcase at UCM during the summer. I continued to put myself in events where they could watch me play.
PBR: Who is the best player you have faced in your state and why?
McGahan: Brock Daniels, because he plays with intensity and works hard off the field.
PBR: What advice would you give to young baseball players striving to get where you are at?
McGahan: I would tell them to work hard all year, dedicate yourself to baseball and attend camps where coaches and scouts can see you.
What do you do in the offseason to keep yourself in baseball shape and prepare for the upcoming season?
McGahan: I lift weights every day, hit three times a week and do catching lessons once a week.
PBR What is the most memorable moment in your baseball career to this point?
McGahan: Winning back to back Super NITs in Kansas City.
PBR: What do you like about Missouri and what were the key factors in making your decision?
McGahan: Coach Bieser was great, he make me feel very comfortable and their facilities were top notch.
PBR: When did the recruiting process really start to heat up for you? Was there a particular game or event that you feel turned the corner for you?
McGahan: In June of this year, attending the PBR and PG events and going to camps and universities.
PBR: Preview your high school season for us. How do you feel your team will be? What are you expectations and goals?
McGahan: I think we will be better than last year, we have some new players and everyone is working hard to get better
PBR Where do you play in the summer? And what has been your most memorable experience with them?
McGahan: I play with the St. Louis Prospects Scout Team. I have made a bunch of great friends locally and around the country while playing.
