Connecticut

No. 1 Chad Knight RHP / 3B / Staples, CT / 2019

8/5/16- Future Game Report
6-foot, 190-pound, very strong hands and lower half, the back and shoulders are wide, is put together well. A right-handed hitter who has strength in his swing. The stance is open with high hands, has a leg kick for timing and has an aggressive separation. Shows plus power to all fields, works from gap to gap. Collected a double and triple to center and right center. The tee exit velocity was 96 mph, ran a 7.01 60 yard, with a time of 4.44 down the line. Defensively, plays the hot corner, hands and feet work well, has a slightly longer arm path. The arm registered at 81 mph, should be a tick higher, has had a big workload throughout the year. On the mound, works from a high ¾ slot, worked downhill and pitched inside well to right-handed hitters. The fastball is 83-85 mph, needs to get some movement, tends to be straight at times. The breaking ball is much improved, clocked at 68-72 mph, has more of a 11/5 break. The changeup has proper spin and fade, didn't throw it in game, was a solid pitch in bullpen. A three pitch pitcher, who pounds the zone. Projects for me as a power hitting corner outfielder at the next level, with ability to help off the mound.

No. 2 Patrick Winkel C / 3B / Amity, CT / 2018

2/14/16 Scouting Report
6-foot-2, 175-pound frame, athletic build, wiry strong, with plenty of room to fill out. Ranked second in New England, a left-handed hitting catcher, scouts dream. Offensively, it’s a simple approach, slightly open stance, balanced throughout the swing. The hands are loose and really work. He made solid contact, driving the ball from gap-to-gap. He generates advanced bat speed and his tee exit velocity was 93 mph. Defensively, a top level defender, the setup is balanced and relaxed. Mechanically is sound, has soft hands and gets out of the chute quick and is in a straight line to second. Clocked at 80 mph from the crouch, the arm is short, quick and on time with everything. Pop times of 1.89-1.97, on the bag. The glove front side could stay firmer. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash, moves very well for a catcher, athletic, good flexibility. Should be a high draft in two years

No. 3 Jeff LaRosa SS / RHP / Conard, CT / 2019

2017 Future Games Report
6-foot-2, 180-pound, super athletic frame, shoulders are sloped, has room to fill out and put weight on.  A left-handed hitting middle infielder, projects more as a third baseman at the next level. Played extremely well at the Futures, collecting multiple hits, making hard loud contact. Played the game at a faster pace than what his sixty-yard dash shows, clocked at 7.45, and clocked at 4.50 down the line. In the box, has a smooth left-handed swing, approach is to both gaps, showing to have enough pop to beat the outfielders to the pull side. Defensively, has plenty of arm across the diamond, clocked at 83 mph, plenty of life and flight to throws. Moves extremely well to both sides, made a big time play on slow roller to line, threw across his body to get a speedster down the line. Competed at a very high level, being recruited by multiple division one schools across the country.
60-Yard Dash- 7.45
Exit Velocity- 89 MPH
Arm Velocity- 83 MPH

No. 4 Dillon Lifrieri OF / SS / Wilton, CT / 2018

8/5/16 Future Game Report
6-foot-1, 185-pound, strong, long athletic frame. Earned MVP honors of the tournament. A right-handed hitter, who has plus power to all fields. Collected two home runs and a single, ran the bases extremely hard and well. The stance is slightly open, hands held just above shoulders and uses a leg kick for timing. Squares balls up one after another, with lift and length to them. The tee exit velocity was 100 mph, and ran a 6.84 60 yard. Defensively, the arm is above average from the outfield, was clocked at 91 mph, throws were downhill and on the bag. Gaining interest from high level programs.

No. 5 Benjamin Casparius RHP / SS / Staples, CT / 2017

Scouting Report
At 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, body is strong and athletic. As a right-handed pitcher, fastball is 87-90 with late action. The breaking ball is a plus pitch, has the ability to throw it at anytime. Thrown hard in the mid 70's. At the plate hits from the right side, shows gap power, uses the entire field to hit.

No. 6 Parker Hansen RHP / 3B / Granby Memorial, CT / 2019

2017 Future Games Report
6-foot-3, 170-pound, long, lengthy, wiry strong athlete, has plenty of room to fill out and put weight on. A right-handed pitcher with a projectable frame, the arm is quick and powerful. The delivery has tempo to it, hands start high, work downward in side step and  then work back with high leg raise, could smooth out the finish, looks to jump out of the gather at times. The arm action is down to up on the back side, works out of a high ¾ slot. The front glove is strong and is inline to the plate, lead leg is slightly closed on foot strike. The fastball reached 87 mph, sat at 83-85 mph, located it well to arm side, with run action to it. The curveball was clocked at 65-66 mph, more top to bottom rotation, threw a slider as well, clocked at 71-72 mph, was thrown more as a putaway pitch, good depth and late break. The changeup is a work in progress, had sink to the arm side. Big follow for me, look for the velocity to climb.

No. 7 Evan Moore RHP / OF / Kingswood-Oxford, CT / 2019

3/8/17 Scouting Report
6-foot-1, 160-pound, wide, lengthy athletic frame, looks like he has worked hard in the offseason on strength and conditioning. The back and shoulders are wide, has plenty of room to fill out. Committed to Boston College, this right-handed pitcher has tempo in his delivery, stays strong on the back side, has some coil to higher leg raise, is inline to the plate on foot strike. The arm works out of a ¾ to high ¾ slot, fastball was at 87-88 mph, gets on the hitter quick, locates very well to the glove side. The breaking ball has 11/7 break, was clocked at 70-74 mph. The changeup was clocked at 77-79 mph with down action. The velocity has improved since the summer, looked to be in midseason form. BC is getting a good one, projects to be a starter at the next level, shows the ability to throw three pitches for strikes.

No. 8 Chase Jeter LHP / OF / Hall, CT / 2018

8/5/16 Future Game Report
5-foot-9, 155-pound, average athletic frame, has plenty of room for future development. This left-hander had a dominating performance, pounded the zone with three pitches to both sides of the plate. The delivery is simple, hands start high and stay high, has good tempo to it, is inline with plate, could finish off the pitch slightly more, has a small recoil. The fastball was 80-81 mph, with late life to it. The breaking ball was clocked at 71 mph, has some tilt, pounded it to the back foot of right-handed hitters, for a swing and miss pitch. The changeup was clocked at 74 mph, was able to throw it left on left, has proper spin and fade to it. The pitchability is advanced, needs to gain strength, big time follow for me.

No. 9 Jeffrey Nicol C / RHP / Wolcott, CT / 2019

2017 Future Games Report
6-foot-1, 178-pound, longer, wide, broad shouldered athletic frame. A right-handed hitting catcher, is durable shows to have short quick feet behind the plate. The stance is wide, sits on the flats of his feet. The hands are loose when receiving, could stick the pitch a bit more. The transfer is clean, glove gets across his chest, feet work well, gains ground on footwork. The arm action is short, throws from a high ¾ slot, has a small waggle on the backside, arm was clocked at 74 mph, with a pop time of 2.01-2.19, in game throw was 2.18. Throws were on the proper side of bag, baseball has a slight fade to it at times. Offensively, hits from the right side, the stance is spread out, hands are held even at shoulder height. The hands have separation from the body, stride leg, has a small leg kick, gains distance with it. The swing is flat through the zone, level to up, finishes high with one hand. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 82 mph. The sixty-yard dash was clocked at 7.55,  competed well in games, took good at bats, had nothing to show from it.
60-Yard Dash- 7.55
Exit Velocity- 82 MPH
Arm Velocity- 74 MPH

No. 10 Andrew Marrero RHP / 2B / Wilbur Cross, CT / 2019

11/2/16 Scouting Report
6-foot-1, 145-pound, thin, long and athletic frame, has a ton of room to fill out. The arms are very long and shows to have loose motions. A right-handed pitcher, the delivery is smooth and has a fluidity to it. The hands start low, and work up with his controlled leg raise. The gather is high and tight to the body. The arm action is clean, quick and the baseball comes out of a ¾ slot. The baseball jumps out of his hand, fastball ball was clocked at 84-86 mph with serious life. The breaking ball is an above average pitch at 74-76 mph, it’s a knee buckler. The changeup has action to it on the arm side, thrown slightly hard at 77-80 mph. Times to the plate were at 1.85, could be quicker. Attended the Future games this past summer, this was by far his best performance, big time arm. Strength is a must, if the frame fills out has a chance to pitch at a very high level.

Massachusetts

No. 1 Matt Tabor RHP / Milton Academy, MA / 2017

Super 60 Report
Elon recruit. 6-foot-1, 163-pound right-handed pitcher, wiry-thin frame, narrow-shouldered. Although Tabor may not have grabbed anyone’s attention walking to the mound, after the first pitch left his hand, rest assured he had commanded the limelight. And he didn’t stop until the final pitch of his near spotless bullpen, which was one of the most impressive of the entire event. Working from a high-3/4 slot, Tabor’s arm is highly athletic, clean and ultra-quick. He works with tempo, repeats his athletic delivery and throws three quality pitches for strikes, showcasing true starter’s stuff. Every fastball Tabor threw was 92 mph, the only pitcher at the Super 60 to hold premium velocity both from the windup and stretch. His fastball showed arm-side life to both sides of the plate while peppering the lower half of the strike zone. He throws both off-speed pitches with similar aggressive, up-tempo arm action, also for consistent strikes. He worked his changeup at 80-82 with arm-side sink. His curveball sat 79-81 with tight spin and shorter 11/5 action. Basically, he could turn to any one of his three pitches to put away a hitter.

No. 2 Matthew Joyce RHP / SS / St Sebastians, MA / 2020

3/8/2017 Scouting Report
5-foot-10, 150-pound quick armed right-hander out of Northeast Baseball. The arm is excellent in effort and slot. The delivery is repeated and athletic. Stays with his arm and has the correct spin on all his pitches. The fastball has life, at 82 mph.  Shown to be a strike thrower. The spin pitch is a slurve, sitting at 69 mph. The shape is excellent. The changeup is thrown correctly in shape, sits at 76 mph with fade. Has a knuckle ball and it’s legit, sits at 72 mph. This guy is a big time follow, when he grows, lookout.

No. 3 Matt Venuto C / OF / Noble and Greenough, MA / 2019

2017 Future Games Report
5-foot-11, 185-pound left-handed hitting catcher. Solid tools to catch and throw. Receiving is solid, needs to get setup and stay setup, moves around a bit too much for the pitchers liking. The throwing is clean, threw 78 mph from behind the dish. The pop time is 2.08 and accurate. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 90 mph. Sets up with a wide base, high back elbow and a slight bat wrap. The bottom half is under control, and the swing path is clean. Stays on the ball at contact and spread the field with the barrel. Ran a 7.57 sixty at the event. Solid prospect and best days are in front of him.

No. 4 Ryan Cusick RHP / Avon Old Farms, CT / 2018

7/25/2017 Scouting Report
Up to 95 mph, sitting 92-93 mph at the Area Code scrimmage in New Hampshire. Continues to improve as each month passes.

No. 5 Mike Vasil RHP / Boston College, MA / 2018

6/29/17 Scouting Report
One of the biggest winners of the day. The Virginia recruit has a sturdy-strong 6-foot-4, 210-pound frame with wide shoulders and room for continued physical development. He has a short, compact arm action from a high-3/4 slot with a low-effort delivery and works downhill well. His fastball, which ranged between 91-94 mph in the first inning, comes in at a steep angle. He pitched at 90-92 in the second inning. His 72-75 mph curveball showed depth with 11/5 action. Vasil pitched two innings of scoreless baseball, yielding three hits and no walks while striking out two.

No. 6 Henry Weycker LHP / 1B / Wellesley, MA / 2019

8/4/16 Scouting Report
5-foot-10, 170-pound left-handed quick arm pitcher.  Showed very well for himself at the event. The delivery is clean and the arm works nicely. The arm is fast and he gets out front with the ball hand. Pitches out of an athletic lift and gather. The glove side has a little pull off direction as he needs to control the glove side to the catcher more often. The ball gets away from him at times due to being stretched out up top. The fastball has good life, sitting 84-86 mph with arm-side run. The spin pitch is very advanced for his age, 75-77 mph and legit when he gets it out front. The changeup is a tick hard as he needs to add more skin to the ball and clean up the grip. Legit 2019 prospect on the mound.

No. 7 Michael Bean RHP / 1B / St. Johns Shrewsbury, MA / 2019

2017 Future Games Report
6-foot, 200-pound right-handed pitcher who we have seen a number of times this past fall and winter. The fastball touched 82-84 mph with arm side run to it. The spin pitch is slurvy, sits 70-72 mph. The changeup is a work in progress. The delivery is online with his feet and the slot is slightly above 3/4.  The lift is athletic and use a coil at the top prior to driving into foot strike. The arm works clean and free. Throws strikes and projects very well. No red flags, the makeup is very good and he wants the ball. Long toss program is integral to his development.

No. 8 Shane Smith RHP / Governors Academy, MA / 2018

7/26/2017 Scouting Report
Recently seen at Area Code game scrimmage in New Hampshire. Sat 90-92, bumping a 94 mph fastball.

No. 9 Steven Hajjar LHP / 1B / Central Catholic, MA / 2018

7/25/2017 Scouting Report
Recently made a significant velocity jump into the low 90's. The secondary stuff continues to improve as he physically matures.

No. 10 Will Jones LHP / 1B / Hamilton Wenham Regional, MA / 2020

2017 Future Games Report
6-foot-5, 180-pound left-handed pitcher who projects to be a big time arm down the road. The arm works extremely well, and the delivery is online with his feet. The glove side is wide at release, getting the glove inside the body frame at release will help extension. The lift is athletic and he is aggressive with his arm. Pitches out of an above 3/4 slot.  The fastball touched 84 mph with minimal downhill plane, staying taller on the backside will help the plane. The spin pitch is a breaking ball, the shape is appropriate and he likes the pitch. The pitch needs to break less, more fastball arm speed added to it and it would be filthy. Currently, sits 68-71 mph. The changeup is a 2-seam changeup, sits 68-71 mph with action to it. Excellent arm.

New Hampshire

No. 1 Grant Lavigne 1B / 3B / Bedford, NH / 2018

6.23.15 Scouting Report
A big and athletic left-handed hitter. Showed serious ability with the bat in batting practice. A spread out set up and even hand set up. The path of the bat is direct and flat through the ball. The ball jumps off the bat and he shows power potential and plate coverage to boot. The frame is excellent at 6-foot-3, 220-pounds with some room for growth. The arm works at first, throwing 74 across the diamond and the he moves well, running a 4.5 down the line. Tee exit velocity was 87, advanced for his age. His footwork around first is good and he provides infielders with a big target. High level prospect and certainly a pro guy as he ages.

No. 2 Brennen Oxford OF / Oyster River, NH / 2018

2017 PoY Report
Oxford is a Wake Forest recruit with a clean arm action and feel for throwing strikes with his mid-80s fastball. He’s also athletic in the outfield and has a knack for the barrel at the plate. Through 42 innings pitched, he had a 5-1 record 67 strikeouts while giving up just eight hits. He also had a .487 average with 14 stolen bases.

No. 3 Jake Reagan OF / RHP / Duxbury, MA / 2016

6.23.15 Scouting Report
Right-handed hitting outfielder who stands 5-foot-10, 160-pounds. Showed a very good approach in the outfield with an above average arm at 82. Ran ok, displaying a 4.46 running time down the line. In batting practice the swing is long and and flat out of a wide base set-up. Strength is needed in the bat. Tee exit velocity of 79. Was very active in the game and played hard throughout.

No. 4 Alec Burns 1B / RHP / Souhegan, NH / 2018

8.8.17 Scouting Report
6-foot-3, 215-pound right-handed hitting first baseman and right-handed pitcher. Defensively, excellent around the bag, the glove is above average and the arm has plenty to it. Threw 78 mph across the diamond with ease. Ran a 4.6 down the line with minimal effort. The movements are athletic. Tee exit velocity of 95 mph. The bat has serious juice to it, should hit for above average power at the next level. Hits out of an even footed start, the front foot has a big pick up and put down to it as the ball approaches. The path has lift to it, the hands work clean to the ball. Serious chance with flattening of the path. On the mound, the projection is great. The fastball touched 85 mph and the spin pitch was 72 mph. He had pitched the day before so he was a bit tentative on the mound. The changeup is in play but he didn’t throw any. The delivery is athletic and online. The lift is athletic, small coil at the top and goes to the plate. The arm works clean out of a plus ¾ slot. Small collapse on the back leg as he gets into foot strikes. Viable 2-way player.
Exit Velocity- 95 mph
INF Velocity - 78 mph

No. 5 Ryan Sweeney C / RHP / Cardigan Mountain, MA / 2021

8/2/17 Scouting Report
5-foot-11, 165-pound right-handed hitting catcher and pitcher. Defensively, threw 69 mph from behind the dish. Pop time of 2.03 as the feet work quickly and his path is simple. The receiving is coming along nicely, securing the catch and blocking all need to continue to improve. Ran a 5.12 down the line on his dig to first base, as that will have to improve. Tee exit velocity of 73 mph. The set up is wide, front foot open to start. The front foot closes down as he uses a pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches. The bat path is long, needs to be shortened down as he matures and gets stronger. On the mound, the fastball touched 73 mph. The breaking ball is 64 mph, as it needs more fastball hand speed. The knuckle ball has good rotation, sits at 63-64 mph. The delivery is online and the slot is slightly above ¾. The arm works well. The direction to the plate needs tweaking as he opens up the front foot and hip to soon prior to foot strike. Needs to stay closed with the front part of his body to protect his arm.
Tee Exit Velocity- 73 mph
Catching Velocity- 69 mph
Pop Time- 2.03

No. 6 Cody Morissette SS / 2B / Exeter, NH / 2018

1.2.17 Scouting Report
Left-handed hitting middle infielder has legit game to his name. The bat has as simple path, the frame will fill and he can defend. Quite possibly the best sleeper in New England, going to Boston College.

No. 7 Marc Metivier RHP / OF / Lexington Christian Academy, MA / 2018

8/8/2017 Scouting Report
5-foot-10, 155-pound right-handed pitcher and switch-hitting outfielder. On the mound, pitches out of a slightly higher than ¾ arm slot. The delivery is athletic and shows a very quick arm. The feet have minimal crossfire to them. The tracking of the front shoulder has improved in the last year. The fastball touched 83 mph, arm side run to the fastball. The slurve pitch is good and has improved, touched 76 mph. The changeup has action and fade to it, sits at 76 mph. Defensively, threw 83 mph from the outfield with carry and accuracy. The path is long to the ball, physical strength is needed. The left side setup is wide, slightly open with the front foot, which closes down as the ball approaches. The swing is clean, needs better direction at initiation. The bottom half is under control throughout both swings.

OF Velocity- 83 mph

No. 8 Brody Dupuis OF / 3B / Bridgton Academy, ME / 2018

8/20/17 Scouting Report
6-feet, 190-pounds, above average athlete, lean, muscular frame, sloped shoulders, capable of further physical development. There is strength in the hands and wrists, apparent from the 93 mph exit velocity he recorded off of the tee. He stands tall in the box and his feet set a little more than shoulder width apart. His hands work up by his shoulders, driving through the ball with a strong two hand finish. Dupuis has a simple swing, with a small step to the ball and natural hip rotation. There could be more power on the way. As an outfielder, his throws were recorded up to 82 mph. He throws from a higher slot, though he can cut himself off at times and short arm his throws. Works to get his whole body into throws with the crow hop. Athletically, should be able to slot into left field. Overall, Dupuis has the tools to produce offensively and good athleticism, making him an intriguing follow as an unsigned 2018 prospect in New England.
Home-First: 4.38
Exit Velocity: 93 MPH
Arm Velocity: 82 MPH

No. 9 Trevor Frederick LHP / OF / Tilton, NH / 2018

8/8/2017 Scouting Report
6-foot-2, 180-pound left-handed pitcher. The frame projects well and there are signs of improvement as he has progressed. The fastball touched 75 mph, arm side run to it. The spin pitch is big, needs more fastball hand speed to it, 66 mph. The changeup is 70 mph, plus action and feel for it.  The delivery comes at you out of a higher than ¾ slot. Methodical lift, does a good job of being direct with his feet and tracking his front shoulder appropriately. The arm has a small stoppage on the backside, minimizing that will aid his progression. The delivery is sound and he stays with his arm.

No. 10 Cole Paro C / KIngswood, NH / 2021

5-foot-9, 165-pound right-handed hitting catcher out of Kingswood, NH.  Progressing very nicely since the last time we saw him. Threw 70 mph down to second base with a pop time of 2.06. The transfer has improved and he throws a accurate ball on the bag. The receiving is developing nicely as well, the glove has gotten softer and he stays with the catch throughout. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 80 mph, as the body needs additional physical strength as he ages. Hits out of an even base, low handed start. Rhode Island

No. 1 Daniel Baruch 1B / LHP / Wheeler, RI / 2019

6/29/16 Scouting Report
High level right-handed hitter, he is advanced at this age as I have seen in a long time. The frame is already physical and he has serious life to his barrel. Very athletic as you could play him in the outfield and he is very advanced with the glove and feet at first base. Ran a 4.58 down the line on a dig. Threw 81 mph from the outfield with carry and accuracy. Threw 77 mph from the infield as well and will be a legit defender at first base. Tee exit velocity of 93 mph at the event. The setup is even footed with even and relaxed hands. Handles the barrel to the ball with simple direction and good hand strength. Hammered the ball all over the yard in batting practice and barrel up a couple balls in the game. Big time prospect.

No. 2 Jordan Marot RHP / RHP / Bishop Hendricken, RI / 2019

2017 Future Games Report
6-foot-4, 223-pound, large, wide, big athletic frame. The shoulders are big, back is wide, and the lower half has strength to it. A right-handed pitcher, threw two scoreless innings. Pounded the zone with a two pitch mix. The delivery is hybrid, starts from the set position and then gets into his rocker step. The hands start low, work up with his athletic leg raise, gets to a good gather position, stays over the rubber a long time. The separation is clean, stride is long and inline. The front foot lands heavy on toes, which gets weight and momentum raising forward, could stay a tick back when stride foot lands. The arm action has some length to it, works out of a high ¾ slot, fastball was clocked at 81-83 mph, it's a heavy ball threw it to both sides down in the zone. The breaking ball was a very good pitch for him, ⅕ break to it, clocked at 69-71 mph. The changeup was ok, showed down action to it. Times to the plate were 1.50, could quicken up  a tick.  Good looking prospect, should be off the board quick.

No. 3 Ben Kailher SS / 2B / Providence Country Day, RI / 2019

2017 Future Games Report
5-foot-8 , 150-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder. Ran a 6.72 sixty at the event. Threw 89 mph across the diamond out of a plus 3/4 slot and with effort. The footwork to and through the ball are appropriate. Handles the pivot and can make the slow roller play. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 88 mph. Sets up with his feet wide and uses a knee to knee timing mechanism as he initiates the swing. Small bat wrap prior to separation and the path is uphill. The skill set is good and he can play, my only thought is that he comes out of his skill set too often. Needs to flatten the path, stop lifting the ball and get in the middle of the field. He is going to be asked to do that at the next level. Good prospect.

No. 4 David Bordieri Jr. SS / 2B / Bishop Hendricken, RI / 2019

2017 Future Games Report
Committed to FDU, at 5-foot-10, 160-pound, the frame is average in size, well proportioned, body movements and actions are free and easy. A right-handed hitting middle infielder, the top tool is his defensive game, actions are smooth. The hands are super soft, works from the ground up, transfer is clean, feet move throughout, arm action is short, crisp and throws from his ear. The arm was clocked at 73 mph, with real good touch on all throws, could let it out more, has more in the tank. The feeds, starts and footwork are advanced around the bag from both sides. The open hip play from the six hole, is smooth, catches and throws all in one motion. Offensively, the stance is even with the feet, hands are loose, set just below shoulder height, have pre pitch movement to them. For timing uses a controlled high leg kick. Gains ground with stride foot, is on time when foot strikes. The swing is flat through the zone, finishes up with two hands. The barrel has some flick out front on contact, the tee exit velocity was clocked at 82 mph and ran a 7.44 sixty yard dash. In game performance was good, went 1-4 with three walks, showed very good discipline of strike zone. Strength and conditioning are a must, needs to continue to get stronger.

6-feet, 205-pounds, strong, athletic, broad shoulders, looks the part of a baseball player. Ran a 4.50 home-first. In the outfield, registered a top arm velocity reading at 89 mph with downward plane from a high ¾ slot. Athletic and fluid in the outfield. At the plate, his feet are slightly wider than shoulder width apart. Balanced with a level-up bat path. Hands work high up at the shoulders. Mostly a line drive approach with good juice. Has the ability to hit from gap-to-gap. Slight pre-pitch waggle with the bat and small stride to the ball. Posted an exit velocity of 89 mph off the tee during the workout. Off the mound, Maher has a coil in the delivery. Good extension and arm speed, he throws from a high, nearing over the top slot. He ran the fastball up to 87 mph, consistently sitting 83-86. The pitch gets hard arm side run, boring in on same handed batters. The curveball is tight with a 12/6 shape. Can throw for strikes in the zone and get hitters to chase out of the zone at 67-71 mph. Was comfortable using it to work backwards with great effect. His splitter gets solid movement, diving down in the zone between 76-77 mph. Induced weak contact that should play at the next level. Overall, Maher is intriguing as a two-way prospect, but his future may be on the mound. With good velocity and movement on his pitches, Maher has the tools to succeed in a starter or relief role at the next level. A high follow in the 2018 New England class.

8/5/16 Future Games Report
6-foot, 190-pound, strong physical frame. The hands and wrists are very strong, the back and shoulders are wide. Will fill out and be extremely physical. A left-handed hitter, who has good power from gap to gap. The stance is slightly open and slightly wider than shoulder width. The hands are held above the back shoulder, has a little wrap of the hands and barrel, with a higher back elbow. The swing has lift in it, with a high one handed finish. The tee exit velocity was 88 mph, a drop in his hands, might be able to get barrel out a little quicker. Collected a huge opposite field, bases clearing triple, had solid at bats, strike zone discipline is above average, ran a 7.42 60 yard dash. Defensively, the arm action is a little longer, clocked at 83 mph, showed good footwork and routes in outfield. On the mound, works out of a high ¾ slot, works downhill and pitches well to the glove side. The fastball was 78-80 mph. Showed a small slider at 73 mph, with a 73-74 mph changeup, has good arm speed. The delivery could be smoothed out a bit, has lots of moving parts. Projects for me as power hitting corner player.

2/18/17 Scouting Report
6-foot, 178-pounds, a long lengthy strong athletic frame, the movements and actions are very smooth, has plenty of room to fill out. One of the better players I’ve seen this winter. A left-handed hitting infielder, stance is slightly open to even, feet are wider than shoulder width apart and the hands are loaded up at shoulder height with good bat tilt. For timing takes a controlled minimal stride, hands have some wrap to the load, the swing path is down to level to up, stays through the baseball later and rolls his hands late and high. The approach is gap to gap, he squared up balls routinely in both rounds, was an impressive showing. Running ability is above average, was 4.06 down the line and has an athletic kick. Defensively, the prep steps and approach to the baseball are smooth and effortless. He works from the ground up, fields the ball out front and feet move throughout towards his target. Arm action is slightly longer on the back, works out of a natural three quarter slot and arm was clocked at 79 mph with easy carry and life to it. The double play feeds were started correctly, open hip plays made smoothly with rhythm. Projects out to me as a power hitting second basemen at a high college level.

2017 Future Games Report
5-foot-10, 180-pound, solid strong athletic frame. A well proportioned athlete, put together well. Defensively, the arm is his top tool, clocked at 88 mph across the diamond, has serious whip and life to it.  Defensively, the hands are soft, fields out front, works from the ground up. The feet work, move well in transfer, need to get quicker side to side to stick at shortstop, should be fine at third base. A right-handed hitter, at the plate, is balanced throughout, feet are wider than shoulder width, hands are loose, held above shoulder height, with the bat starting in a flat position. The lower half is under control, stride is simple and straight. The swing is down to level to up, finishes with one hand, the load could shorten just a tick, will help him getting on time easier. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 90 mph, and runs ok at 7.20. In game performance, collected a single, with an RBI, made good hard contact in other at bats. Off the mound, threw one inning, is a position player that is in the process of gaining more experience off the bump. At this point is more of a thrower, fastball reached 88 mph, sat in the 85-87 mph range. The delivery is clean, needs to incorporate the lower half more, it's all arm at the moment. Only threw one breaking ball at 70 mph. With work and refining the delivery, velocity should climb, can be a legit two way guy eventually at the next level.

9/17/2017 Scouting Report
5-foot-10, 155-pound right-handed hitting infielder. Ran a 4.69 down the line on his dig to first base. The glove is solid in the field, and the feet need to continue to improve on working to and through the ball. Threw 70 mph across the diamond. The frame is lanky and additional weight showed aid his game. I liked the bat, tee exit velocity of 79 mph. Sets up with his feet even, front foot slightly open. Uses a knee to knee timing mechanism on the bottom half as he launches into the swing. The path is long but he gets the barrel there on time. The second round of batting practice he took was outstanding. Follow the bat.

8/5/16 Future Games Report
6-foot-3, 150-pound, the frame is thin, long  and lengthy, has plenty of room to fill out. This right-handed pitcher works from high ¾ slot, works downhill and lived down in the zone. Threw a ton of strikes, fastball was 81-83 mph, with some action to arm side. The breaking ball has 11/5 breaking, not thrown overly hard at 68 mph, works well off his fastball. The changeup was clocked at 77 mph, a tick high. Pitched two solid innings in the future games, is a strike throwing machine, has a ton left in his arm. Look for the velocity to jump, good looking prospect. Projects for me as a low-mid division 1 arm.
