It was a historic preseason here in New York with our boots-on-the-ground scouting staff covering 700+ players at showcase events, all February long. The dust has settled and we are now ramping up our efforts in player rankings, scouting reports, and recap articles. Scouting Report

Physical: 5-foot-11, 165-pounds. Long, lean, athletic build.
Run: 7.67 runner in the 60.
Hit: LHH. Upright stance, hands start above shoulders with a level bat, hands work back along with medium leg kick on load Hands are very quick through the hitting zone, barrel is direct to the baseball, finishes on an uphill plane with a two-handed finish.
Power: 84 MPH raw exit velocity. Hard contact from gap to gap.
Defense: Approaches the ball low to the ground with clean footwork, fields the ball on his back foot before using a small crow hop to release.
Arm: Medium arm swing with an over the top arm slot.  OF - 80 MPH.

Pitching Delivery: Builds tempo, working in line with the target to a balanced, repeatable finish.
Arm Action: Long arm action going straight back locking out before getting to a 3/4 release.
FB: T83, 80-83 MPH. Locates around the plate with ride into the zone.
CB: 67-69 MPH. Sharp break with 11-5 shape.
SPLT: 73-74 MPH. Good arm speed with late down action.

 

Standout Skill
His pitching ability is what really stood out to me the most. Greco tends to work with a faster tempo when he pitches than most, but keeps the same arm slot for all three of his pitches. Topping 83mph as a 2023 grad is always impressive to see and with such a solid frame to build off of he will only have more in the tank as he develops his game as a pitcher. His Splitter stood out to me for two reasons; the first being the movement of his pitch and how it dives down at the last second and the second reason is his grip for it. Want Greco to be aware that he tips this pitch slightly as he digs deeper into his glove, as you advance further into your career this is a very minor thing that will let hitters know whats coming. 
Player Projection
Greco does have the capability to play OF and RHP, but to me I see him making more of an impact for a team when he's on the mound. You're looking at velocity that is only going to increase with the proper arm care, workout, and development. His ability to fill up the zone with all three of his pitches, a splitter nonetheless, is already very impressive at such a young age and to have that kind of movement.  

Quick Hit
"Tall build with ability to hold more weight as he gets older. Simple stance and stance with a big swing. Works all parts of the field with solid line drives. Quick transfer defensively, not much of a shuffle or crow-hop into a low line-drive throw. Fields ball slightly inside glove foot instead of outside. Slowly increases tempo on the mound and falls into his pitch with good delivery. 3 pitch mix with and fills up the zone."
