Scouting Report

Report: Millas is arguably the top uncommitted player not only in the 2020 class, but the entire country at the moment and with his most recent start in Jupiter Florida for the Diamondbacks Langley Scout Team, it is easy to understand why. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound frame gives him presence as soon as he walks off the bus, and he is going to add more strength as he is still only 16 years old and will continue to develop and mature physically. The actions are clean, easy, with minimal effort involved and a repeatable delivery on the mound. The ball jumps out the hand, although its more arm strength than arm quickness, he still works in the 88-90 range and was up to 91 on this hot day in Florida. The slider worked in the 76-78 mph range and showed tilt and ability to be a quality out pitch in the future. There is some feel for the changeup, and have seen him throw this pitch more in the past than he did on this day versus the Midland Redskins.

Outlook: Millas is a high ceiling arm that has much more to come and project to be a dominant starter at the collegiate level and an ever growing prospect leading up to his 2020 draft year. There is a high compete level and he attacks hitters within the strike zone. Should end up committing at a Power 5 school sooner than later, Millas is one of the top right-handed arms in the country to keep a close watch on.
