Updated Power 25

By Chris Fuller
Kentucky Scouting Director

It has been two weeks since we last updated the Power 25, the product of a lot of rain around the state the last few weeks. Much has changed, however, with many teams traveling south for spring break, and those who stayed home getting a significant number of games in despite the weather.

McCracken County holds on to the top spot in the rankings. The Mustangs have won 14 consecutive games to start the season and are every bit as good as expected. In fact, the top three remains the same with Lexington Catholic sitting at No. 2 and St. Xavier checking in at No. 3.

Madison Central jumps up a few spots to No. 4, and North Oldham does as well to round out the top five.

Other big risers include Southwestern (fresh off their win over the No. 1 ranked team in Illinois), Lafayette, and Covington Catholic.

Trinity checks in to the Power 25 for the first time this season. The Rocks are coming off an impressive showing in the Super Prep Series held this past weekend in Louisville. Also new to the Power 25 is Bryan Station. The Defenders stand at 8-3 on the season with a win last week over No. 2 Lexington Catholic.

Here is a look at the updated Power 25.
