PBRT Mid-Atlantic Program Invitational: Top Uncommitted 2025s

From June 15-18, the PBR Virginia/DC staff was on-hand in Richmond, Va., at the site of the PBRT Mid-Atlantic Program Invite. You can also find pitching velocities and the max fastball velo leaders from the tournament on this page.
Today, we’ll be identifying the top uncommitted Class of 2024 talent in attendance from the tournament. The following prospects are five uncommitted on-the-rise seniors that put together impressive performances in Richmond and they deserve a close follow through the remainder of summer and fall.
BEST IN SHOW, UNCOMMITTED 2025 PROSPECTS

Jordan Regulski RHP / North Dorchester, MD / 2025Maryland Rankings: State Rank: 11
Currently one of the top-ranked uncommitted prospects in Maryland's 2025 class. Listed at a lean and projectable 6-foot-3, 155 pounds, Regulski possesses some of the highest upside in the region. He's an athletic mover down the mound with minimal effort, and the ball really jumps out of his hand and with little effort. He ran the fastball up to 91 mph early on before settling into the upper-80s. He mixed in a sharp breaking ball to miss bats. Consider him a must-see uncommitted arm in the Mid-Atlantic's 2025 class.

Nate Hawton-Henley OF / St. John's College, VA / 2025Virginia/DC Rankings: State Rank: 25
From VA/SC Scout Blog (4/24/23): "Hawton-Henley is a toolsy outfielder with an advanced run tool and seems to find contact on a regular basis. Squatted stance with high set hands. There are some moving parts and it is a little unorthodox at times, but he gets it done. Quick level path with advanced bat and hand speed. Uses the middle and backside of the field well with some gap power. Can really show the run tool off when he gets out of the box hard. Bigger arm from the outfield with carry to the bag. A toolsy outfielder to get eyes on."

Bryce Neely OF / St. Christopher's, VA / 2025Virginia/DC Rankings: State Rank: 33
Neely is no stranger to our staff, as he was a participant in the 2021 PBR Junior Future Games and he went on to become a member of the 2023 VA/DC Preseason All-State: Underclass Team. He is a high-level athlete with the tools to match; 6.57 runner, mid-80s from the outfield, triple-digit exit velocities, and explosive bat speed. He continues to get stronger as he matures, and that sneaky strength played in-game throughout the entirety of the tournament. Shortly after his standout performance at the MAPI, Neely continued to show well at the Virginia/DC State Games. He will be representing the Mid-Atlantic later this month at this year's PBR Future Games.

Max Lawson SS / 2B / Briar Woods, VA / 2025Virginia/DC Rankings: State Rank: No. 83
From VA/DC Scout Blog (4/24/23): "Lawson has had a really solid sophomore campaign for Briar Woods. Switch hitter that appears to have settled in on the right side for the time being. Square stance, simple lift, and slight squat in the setup. The swing path has some uphill plane to it and can get a little long at times. When he is on time, it is a good looking swing, but will need to show some plate coverage and ability to adjust to spin versus higher level arms. Hands are quiet and quick, while the the upper half does more of the loading with a slight coil. A lower setup at shortstop and hands hang down front getting stagnant at times. Liked the arm action. Centered hand break, short on the backside, and ball comes out well with accuracy. The swing plane has a chance to play and will need to show that he can produce the offense consistently."

Jase Mitchell C / 3B / Cape Henlopen, MD / 2025Maryland Rankings: State Rank: 23
Mitchell is a top-25 prospect in Maryland's incoming junior class, and he is a premier backstop in the region. Standing at a lean and projectable 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, with a sweet left-handed stroke, there is plenty to like about Mitchell. He's shown well in front of our staff before with sub-2.00 pop times, mid-90s exit velocities, and impressive rotational acceleration metrics, per Blast. That continued throughout the tournament, and Mitchell repeatedly found the barrel and generated hard contact.

Graham Ward 3B / RHP / North Stafford, VA / 2025After his showing at the VA/DC Preseason All-State event, Ward was mentioned in an article for showing one of the best hit tools from that high-profile showcase. His hit tool was on full display throughout the entirety of the MAPI, as he was consistently on the barrel and creating opportunities for his team. Standing at 6-foot, 175 pounds, Ward has plenty of room for continued physical maturity as he enters the second half of his high school career.

Kaleb Smith LHP / Mechanicsville, VA / 2025Rankings StateRank: 26 / POS: 6
From VA/DC Scout Blog (3/23/23): "Smith was an arm that has been very intriguing to our staff in our two looks at him since November, so we wanted to get out and see him early in the season. The sophomore left-hander came in for two innings of relief for Mechanicsville. In his first innings there was a lot of 84-86, while he faded more to the 82-84 mark in his second inning of work. The slider was 75-77 mph, but did not go to it very often in this outing... has life on his fastball... Smith is able to create some angle when working to the glove side and is not afraid to get in on right-handers, as well as the fastball shows late arm-side life when using it away from right-handers."

Zachary Zelazny SS / 3B / Patrick henry, VA / 2025Virginia/DC Rankings: State Rank: 37
Zelazny currently sits within the top-40 prospects in PBR Virginia/DC's 2025 class, making him one of the top uncommitted middle infielders in the area. At an athletic 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, he's a sub-7.00 runner who has mid-80s arm strength across the diamond. It was his bat, however, that made plenty of noise at the MAPI. He has posted mid-90s exit velocities in the past, and his heavy barrel produced hard contact each time he stepped up to the plate in Richmond, including this home run below.

Trey Campos OF / RHP / Landstown, VA / 2025Virginia/DC Rankings: State Rank: 22
From VA/DC Scout Blog (5/1/23): "Having seen Campos twice so far this year, the athleticism and tools are hard to miss. Athletic makeup with lean strength and some two-way potential. The arm has maybe been the standout piece this spring, but Campos can go get it in center. Arm strength, length, and speed to stay. Has some pop in the bat, but will need to continue to grow in bat to ball and zone discipline. Legitimate two way sophomore to keep an eye on as we approach the summer."

Ren Devereux RHP / St. John's College, VA / 2025Virginia/DC Rankings: State Rank: 114
Devereux is listed at 6-foot-2, 200-pounds and has continued to add strength each time our staff watches him. On the mound, he offers a rise-and-run profile with high spin rates and impressive spin efficiencies. He has spun his heavy fastball up to 2,300 rpm in prior looks, also landing a 2,700-plus rpm breaking ball for strikes. Devereux's performance at the MAPI helped him earn an invitation to this year's PBR Future Games.
