Welcome to the Arizona Daily Roundup. 

Baseball season is finally here. As of yesterday, Wednesday, February 26th, the AIA high school baseball season is officially off and running. Throughout the spring, PBR will be posting Daily Roundup with some scores and select performances from past games.

2021 LHH SS Wes Kath (Desert Mountain)- Arizona State Commit, 2 for 3 on the day with two opposite field doubles, scoring a run with an RBI. Also closed out the game on the mound and was up to 88mph with his FB.

2021 RHP Nick Suspenzi (Desert Mountain)- Walked 2 batters to start the game but settled in nicely striking out 5 batters in two innings of work. 

2022 RHP Andrew Carroll (Chaparral)- Arizona Commit, Started the game on the hill for Chaparral. Going 5 innings, Carroll struckout 8 batters while allowing 1 hit and 0 runs. 

2021 RHP Nick Arias (Tucson Magnet)- Started on the mound and threw 6 innings for Tucson Magnet, getting the W. Struckout 8 batters while surrendering 3 hits and 2 walks, allowing 0 runs. Arias also went 2 for 4 with a double in the game with 2 runs and an RBI from the leadoff spot. 

2022 3B Derek Smith (Horizon)- Started at 3B for the defending 5A State Champions. Straight out of basketball season, Smith went 2 for 4 with a 2 RBI double, scoring a run himself. He will be attending the PBR Future Games at the end of July.
