Baseball season is finally here. As of Wednesday, February 26th, the AIA high school baseball season is officially off and running. Throughout the spring, PBR will be posting Daily Roundup with some scores and select performances from past games. 

To make sure your highlights might be included in our Daily Roundup, Tweet or Instagram to @PBRArizona or drop us a direct message. PBR will also be tracking GameChanger throughout the season to get live updates. If your team uses GameChanger make sure we are notified and following your official scorer.

Newly ranked, No. 6 Queen Creek handles Mesa (7-1). Top 3 hitters for Queen Creek were 7 for 12 with two walks on the day. 2020 SS/3B Jacob Berry, Arizona commit hit a HR with 2 runs & 3 RBIs. 2022 CF Sebastian Tomerlin hit a triple with 2 runs & RBI. 2020 C Gabe Heitz collected three hits with a HR, 2 runs, & 3 RBIs.

No. 12 Desert Mountain comes from behind and holds on vs Cactus Shadows. 2021 RHP Nick Suspenzi started and threw 3 innings for DM. He struckout 7 batters, surrendering only one hit. 2020 1B Connor Elwell hits leadoff for DM. He was 2 for 3 with a run in the game. Elwell might be a sneaky find for colleges still trying to round out their 2020 class. 

No. 22 Cienega blows out Sahuaro. 2022 LHP Ryan Garcia with a big day on the mound. Complete game 6 inning win, striking out 9 batters. Allowed only one run on 3 hits in the afternoon. Cienega at 12 hits in the contest. 2020 2B Ben Staiger, Yavapai commit was 2 for 3 with a HR, 2B, & walk. Staiger scored 3 runs & had 2 RBI's. 2020 CF Wyatt Wingstad was also 3 for 5 with a run and 4 RBIs on the day. 

Perry takes down newly ranked, Westwood. 2020 RHP Kai Taylor, Augustana commit started on the mound for the Pumas. Taylor threw 6 innings in the shutout victory. He struckout 4 batters while allowing 2 hits and walking a single batter. 2020 3B Trevor Desiderio, Chandler-Gilbert commit, hits his 5th HR of the season.
