Scouting Report
08/15/18- Slender athletic build with projection. Still a young body and has plenty of time to mature. Some inconsistencies now but mostly comes from being so young. Overall, promises to be a very good hitter. Hitterish actions, quick bat, gets hands to-and-through well. Has an approach to hit. 88 mph EV. Just have to wait and see how he progresses physically but should square up a lot of balls allowing him to maximize power potential. Fundamentally sound and is in control of his defensive actions. Chance to turn into a pure hitter. Expect him to make a big jump as his body matures.
06/23/18- Athletic, projectable frame standing at 6-foot-1, 160 pounds. Ran a 7.27 60 on this day, but has run a 6.97 in the past and there is present athleticism in his actions. Offensively, he has a wide base and really works well out in front, getting to extension. This creates natural leverage and the exit velocity of 85 mph. There is some rotational action in the swing that takes him out of the zone early at times, but has a feel for the barrell and a frame and tools that should really develop with age.
01/13/18- Currently stands at 6-foot, 155 pounds with a projectable, athletic build. Started off the day by showing off his athleticism with a 6.97 second 60 yard dash time. At the plate he starts from a wide base and rocks back in the box before he starts his swing. When he is short and direct to the ball, he showed gap-to-gap potential with multiple line drives during batting practice along with some pull side pop. Registered an 84 mph exit velocity in the cage. From the outfield, he topped out at 64 mph on his throws to the bag. Obviously he is extremely young and there is a lot of growth to do in the years ahead, but there is currently tools and ability that create a great foundation for the future.
