Today, PBR Oklahoma takes a look at the Top 20 most read Oklahoma high school player profiles from  October 2017 from number one down to twenty. Each players full profile can be seen by clicking on their picture. 

Nate Wohlgemuth RHP / OF / Owasso, OK / 2020

Wohlgemuth, has a barrel-chested frame at 5-foot-9, 220 pounds. At the plate, he was 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and an RBI, but he was most impressive on the mound. He faced six batters, striking out five, and tied an event record by hitting 95 with his fastball. He has an up-tempo, athletic delivery with a fast arm and quality leg drive. He sat 92-94 and showed an excellent changeup with some fade at 80-82. He breaking ball had slurvy shape and some depth at 75-79. At the plate, he is short to the ball with strong hands and a rotational finish, 91 mph exit velo. Ran a 6.72 60 and threw 95 mph from the outfield. 


Dax Fulton LHP / 1B / Mustang , OK / 2020

Fulton, a recent Vanderbilt commit, has long limbs and a strong lower half at 6-foot-6, 210 pounds. He pitches with a clean, up-tempo delivery and comes through a high-3/4 slot with a fluid arm action. His fastball sits 84-87 with occasional cut. His changeup has late fade and depth at 75-77. His curveball shows excellent depth when down in the zone. It has 1/7 shape and ranges from 73-79. 


Ian Daugherty C / RHP / Kingfisher, OK / 2021

8-20-17
A physically advanced 6-foot-1,180-pound frame with strength throughout. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a slightly open and athletic set-up with rhythm in his hands. Uses a simple and smooth load with a short stride for timing. Hands are short to the ball, barrel stays in the zone a long time, slightly uphill path, good extension, quality leg drive. In BP, shows a middle to pull approach, launching most balls to the pull side gap. Found consistent barrels, excellent round, 84 mph exit velo. Runs a 4.74 home-to-first. Defensively, shows above average receiving and advanced blocking. Posted consistent 1.96-2.08 showcase pop times with clean footwork and exchanges, short arm action from a 3/4 slot, some are strength, 72 mph. In the game, went 2-for-3 with an RBI.


Braylen Wimmer SS / 2B / Yukon, OK / 2019

8-3-17
A a recent South Carolina commits, 6-foot-1, 150-pound frame with long legs, very projectable. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a balanced, athletic set-up with rhythm in his hands. Uses a moderate, hanging stride for timing, very quick hands, and flat bat path. In BP, shows a pull gap, flat approach, was consistently on time and found barrels, one of the best rounds of the event. Exit velo of 89 mph that will continue to rise as he puts on size and strength. Runs a 6.76 60. Defensively, shows advanced hands and feet with consistently clean and confident actions. Throws from a low-3/4 slot, 81 mph across the diamond with accuracy. Easly one of the top SS at the Future Games. 


Jacob Savage RHP / 3B / Latta, OK / 2018

The recent Carl Albert commit stands 6-foot-1, 215-pounds with a durable frame and some strength. The right-hander was terrific in this one, punching out 10 hitter in 6.1 innings of work. Fastball ranged 84-87 early on and fell to 83-84 later, showing occasional late and heavy arm-side run. Slider was sharp with 11/5 shape, thrown with full arm speed, 75-79 mph. Curveball kept hitters off balance 65-66 with depth and 12/6 shape.


Jake Adams RHP / OF / Bethany , OK / 2018

5-21-17
A 6-foot-3, 190-pound long and athletic frame with some strength for this two-way player who really shines on the mound. The right-hander works from a slightly up-tempo delivery with rhythm, high-leg kick, and glides to the dish under control. The arm action is long and loose with a full arm-circle and fast out front with some effort from a high-3/4 slot. The fastball jumps out of Adams' hand with some downhill tilt, 86-87 mph. Slider flashes some late and sharp action with 11/5 shape, backs up at times, 72-78 mph. Changeup shows some fade 78-79 mph. With his athleticism, frame, and arm speed, Adams is a talented prospect on the mound that will only get better as he continues to dial in his command and consistency. At the dish, the right-handed hitter uses a moderate knee-knock leg kick to launch his hands on a flat path. Stayed in the pull gap with some carry in BP, barreling most balls. Posted an exit velo of 83. In the outfield, shows athletic, confident actions. Runs through throws, some accuracy, 83 mph. Runs a 7.34 60.


Robert Briley RHP / OF / Wright City, OK / 2018

9-8-17
A recent Seminole State commit with a 6-foot-3, 190 pound athletic build. On the mound, slow controlled delivery, 3/4 slot, clean arm circle, fast arm. Fastball keeps its plane, 88-90 mph, some strikes. Slider flashes swing and miss depth, 70-71 mph. Offensively, shows bat speed and strength with some swing and miss. Defensively, uses above average speed to track down balls in center and posses and accurate and elite arm. 


Cooper Harris C / RHP / Choctaw, OK / 2020

8-3-17
A lean 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame with lots of room to add size and strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an open, athletic, balanced stance with rhythm throughout. Uses a rocking load with a short stride, some length in the swing, good extension. In BP, shows a mostly middle of the field, flat approach with some pull side pop, mostly barrels, 87 mph exit velo. Defensively, shines behind the plate as an advanced receiver and blocker with strong hands. On the throws to second, shows some length in the back with arm speed and whip through a high-3/4 slot, 81 mph, 1.95-2.01 showcase pop times, some accuracy. 


Tyler Polk RHP / Duncan, OK / 2018

8-9-17
An Oklahoma State recruit Polk recently made a jump from the upper 80s to 94 mph with his sinking fastball and up to 83 mph on a sharp slider. Polk pitches with a simple delivery that he repeats well and possesses a fast arm from a high-3/4 slot.  A well rounded athlete, Polk could possibly be a true two-way player for the Cowboys with a compact stroke, some pop (90 mph exit velo) and enough speed and arm strength to play a corner outfield spot.

Trevor Martin RHP / 3B / Asher, OK / 2020

8-20-17
The recent Oklahoma State commit is a physically advanced 6-foot-4, 195-pound frame with strength throughout. Works from an average tempo delivery with a high leg kick and glides down the mound. Arm action is full and clean in the back, coming through a high-3/4 slot with arm speed out front. Fastball shows consistent downhill tilt with occasional arm-side run, jumps on hitters, 85-89 mph. Slider shows 11/5-10/4 shape with late depth, 72-73 mph. Changeup has straight arm-side fade, 78-79 mph. In the game, Martin recorded five strikeouts in two innings along with two walks and a base hit.


Cayden Aldridge C / Tahlequah, OK / 2018

Defensively, the Oklahoma recruit boasts a strong arm with carry and excellent accuracy, showing 1.89-1.95 pop times between innings to go along with next-level blocking abilities. At the plate, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound muscular right-handed hitter shines just as brightly. Using strength and high-end bat speed, Aldridge consistently produces extra-base contact with a middle to pull approach and some lift.


Cooper Hunt LHP / OF / Dale, OK / 2019

A durable 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame with some strength. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from a wide open crouch with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a big leg kick and late barrel wiggle for timing, hits from his front side with a bent front knee, slightly uphill path with good extension. In BP, shows and all fields, flat approach, going to the opposite field well, mostly barrels, 83 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.17 60. Defensively, shows confident and clean actions. Throws with a loose and easy arm circle coming through a high-3/4 slot, 76 mph with carry and accuracy. On the mound, works from an up-tempo delivery, sinking into his backside during leg lift and driving to the dish. Arm circle is full, clean, and loose coming through a 3/4 slot with some arm speed. Fastball sits 80-83 with some angle and above average command. Curveball shows 2/8-1/7 shape with some late depth, 67-69 mph. Has advanced feel for the changeup, showing well above average run and late fade, 70-71 mph.


Javier Ramos RHP / SS / Vian, OK / 2018

The Missouri State recruit is a true two-way prospect at the next level. The 6-foot-5, 170-pound shortstop and right-hander is very projectable. On the mound, Ramos features a fastball that reaches into the upper 80s with seemingly little effort. Defensively, he possess advanced actions and a strong arm across the diamond. Offensively, his swing continues to progress adding bat speed and strength. 


Jaxon Wiggins RHP / OF / Roland , OK / 2020

8-3-17
The recent Arkansas recruit has a long, lean, and athletic 6-foot-4, 185-pound frame with lots of room to add size and strength. Works from an average tempo delivery with below average effort. Arm comes through a 3/4 slot with ease and whip. Fastball ranges 83-87 mph with occasional late life and downhill tilt. Curveball has depth at 73-75 mph. Changeup ranges 76-78 mph with late hard fade when down in the zone. Command can be an issue at times, but the ceiling couldn't be higher.


Cade Horton SS / RHP / Norman , OK / 2020

8-3-17
The recent Ole Miss commit has a 6-foot, 165-pound frame with wiry strength and plenty of room to add size and strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a narrow and open set-up with some rhythm in his hands. Uses a hanging leg kick for timing, moderate stride, and quick hands with barrel control. In BP, shows a gap to gap approach with some lift and occasional pop, 88 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.22 60. Defensively, shows advanced hands and feet, elite athleticism on the slow roller and backhand play, throws from multiple slots, 85 mph across the diamond, with accuracy.


Jordan Compton SS / RHP / Carl Albert , OK / 2018

2/11/17
 A 6-foot-1, 215-pound frame packed with strength. Works from a deliberate wind-up, good lower half drive. Moderate arm circle, high-3/4 slot, quick out front. Fastball keeps its plane, 83-84 mph, well above average control. Changeup shows fade and sink with lots of depth,  73-78. Curveball rolls at times with  12/6 shape, 69-71 mph. Other times it shows a sharper 11/5 shape 72-73 mph. Offensively, a switch hitter, more consistent from the right, middle of the field approach, bat speed, some pop to the pull gap. Uses a crouched, slightly front foot heavy set-up, some rhythm in the hands, quick knee-knock leg kick, slightly uphill path produces backspin, up to 87 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.00 laser-timed 60. Defensively, quick, strong, and accurate arm, up to 86 mph across the diamond, average hands, flashes improved footwork.


Wade Elliott 3B / SS / Deer Creek, OK / 2019

5/31/17

A Missouri commit. Stands 6-foot-1, 205 pounds with strength throughout. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a relaxed upright stance with rhythm in his hands. Uses a moderate hanging leg kick for timing and is short to the ball with very quick hands. In BP, shows a gap to gap approach with lift occasionally pulling down the line, big pop, multiple balls off the wall, exit velo of 91 at this event, previously 99 mph. Runs a 7.26 60. Defensively, shows elite hands and feet with rhythm and confidence making every play with ease. Throws from a low-3/4 slot with a very quick release, 77 mph, some accuracy. In the game, went 1-for-2 with two HBP’s, a strikeout, and blasted a double to the pull gap. 


Tanner Brooks RHP / OF / Westmoore, OK / 2018

A 6-foot-4, 175-pound  long limed frame, very projectable. Works with a moderate tempo, simple repeatable delivery with low effort. Big arm circle, free and easy arm action, high-3/4 slot. Fastball jumps on hitters,  85-87 mph, touches 88 mph. Curveball shows consistent late depth,  69-72 mph, 11/5 shape, for strikes. Changeup lost some arm speed, 78 mph, shows some fade. Brooks two inning outing was made up of four walks, one hit, and two strikeouts.


Conner Gore SS / 3B / Enid , OK / 2020

12/18/16
The Oklahoma State commit has a 6-foot, 160-pound athletic build with long levers. Defensively, advanced feet and hands, shows athleticism on the slow roller play. Throws from multiple slots with accuracy, 72 mph, arm action is clean and will continue to get stronger as Gore develops. Offensively, right-handed hitter, middle-oppo approach, flat. Hits from a balanced athletic stance, loose with rhythm, moderate knee-knock leg kick, quality leg drive, good extension, high finish. Ran a 4.58 home to first.
