Scouting Report
Jupiter (10/21/18)
Wiry-athletic 6-foot-3, 180-pound George Washington recruit is known as a shortstop, but after his one-inning relief stint for Team Warstic, he very well may be one of the more coveted draft arms in the Northeast. Biancone threw a flawless inning behind an 89-92 MPH fastball. Even more impressive, he flashed a 73-75 big 12/6 hammer curveball with depth and tight spin. His arm is clean, loose and athletic - like a shortstop - and aggressive out front. He also offered some varying funk with his delivery, altering hip sways out of the windup.
NY Games (June 25-27, 2017)
Athletic 6-foot-1, 165-pound projectable build. Offensively - strong, quick hands get the bat through the zone on a level plane with a slight upper cut for an exit velocity of 90 MPH, down 3 MPH from February but still impressive, repeatable motion, scratching the surface with lower body engagement which will produce further power. Defensively - soft hands, smooth and poised, agile, quiet feet, easy transfer with an infield velocity of 84 MPH from all angles. Recent commitment to George Washington.
Preseason All-State (February 20, 2017)
Biancone stands at a rangy 6-foot-1 165 pounds with a frame that will support gains. Ran a 7.13 60. Offensively- Even set up at the plate with a moderate leg kick and barrel tip for timing; aggressive lower half with explosive bat speed through the zone. Flashed some pop to his pull side; high ceiling in the power potential department as evidenced by his 92 MPH exit velocity. Defensively- Showed smooth, effortless actions up the middle with no panic. Occasional glove tap before a quick shuffle step; arm works well from the left side at 86 MPH across the diamond. Athleticism could allow for a corner outfield option down the road.
