On Sunday, October 8th, we hosted the Fall Unsigned Senior Showcase at Grand Park in Westfield, IN. Below is a look at the infielders in attendance.

Jake Andriole, 1B/LHP, Guerin Catholic HS, 2018

Physical 6-foot, 205 pound infielder hits from an open setup with some rhythm and bat speed. Fluid load, high back elbow, creates a slightly uphill path to contact. Possesses some pullside pop. High exit velocity of 81. Average glove with good understanding of position. Throws from a high 3/4 slot, topping out at 80 across infield.

Tommy Benson, SS/RHP, Chesterton HS, 2018

6-foot-1, 180 pound infielder continues to impress with his arm strength and athleticism. Unsigned senior topped 90 across the infield with accuracy. Moves well laterally with soft hands up the middle. Plays through the ball with quick exchange into a loose, high 3/4 slot. At the plate, starts with an open athletic setup. Short stride while hands load back. Quick barrel turn. Produced line drives to all fields. Twitchy movements. Lower half needs refined. Very athletic, high-energy player.

Blake Fisher, 2B/SS, Bedford North Lawrence HS, 2018

5-foot-10, 160 pound infielder hits from an open setup and features a leg kick used as a timing trigger. Hands load back, slight hitch in load. Quick barrel turn. Uphill path to contact. Creates some lift to pullside. Several line drives. Partial use of lower half. High exit velocity of 84mph. Ran a 7.19 60yd dash. Defensively, moves well side to side. Above average hands with clean transfer. Able to throw from different angles. Throws topped at 81mph with accuracy.

Lane Gilbert, SS, Shakamak HS, 2018

6-foot, 160 pound shortstop hits from a balanced, slight crouch with line drive approach. Short stride, hands load back. Creates a level path, flat at times. Uses all fields. High exit velocity of 80mph. Above average footwork defensively with quick release in a high 3/4 slot. Moves well side to side. Throws topped at 79 across infield with accuracy.

Shawn Grider, 2B/3B, Center Grove HS, 2018

5-foot-8, 180 pound infielder hits from an open setup with leg kick timing trigger. Hands load back, some rhythm. Late getting foot down. Opposite field approach. Short path to contact. High exit velocity of 79. Above average hand defensively. Flat footwork. Clean, quick exchange. Throws from all angles. Top velocity of 73 across infield.

Bradley Hartman, SS/2B, Bloomington South HS, 2018

6-foot, 155 pound shortstop ran a 6.76 laser timed 60 yard dash. Quick footwork defensively, average hands. Throws from a 3/4 slot. Topped 73 across infield. Hits from tall, open setup. Slight leg kick, hands load back with a slight armbar. Long, level path. High exit velocity of 75mph.

Cameron Holycross, RHP/3B, Lapel HS, 2018

6-foot, 185 pounds, hits from an athletic, open setup. Long, uphill path to contact. Rotational swing. Some potential gap to gap power. High exit velocity of 85. Defensively, hands are above average with clean exchange. Throws topped at 81 across infield with accuracy. Able to play through the baseball.

John Kehoe, SS/2B, Clay HS, 2018

5-foot-9, 160 pound shortstop hits from a balanced, athletic setup. Rhythm in his load, slight arm bar. Quick barrel turn. Line drive approach. Used all fields. High exit velocity of 83. Defensively, he plays with above average foot speed and clean exchange. Plays the right hop, often getting through the baseball well. Throws from a 3/4 slot with accuracy. Topped 81 across the infield. Ran a 7.49 60 yard dash.

Michael Machnic, 3B, John Glenn HS, 2018

6-foot-4, 215 pound infielder had a high velocity of 90mph. Left-handed hitter has a toe-tap into stride. Long, uphill path to contact. Pullside hitter. Ran a 7.72 60 yard dash. Third baseman has above average hands with fluid footwork. Throws from a 3/4 slot. Velocity topped 76mph across infield.

Seth Robertson, 1B/RHP, Greenfield Central HS, 2018

6-foot-1, 185 pounds, hits from an open setup with hand drop in load. Long, uphill path with some lift at contact. Line drive approach. Average bat speed. High exit velocity of 80. Defensively, he possesses above average hands with clean transfer. Throws topped at 76mph across infield.

Ryan Sauter, 3B, Center Grove HS, 2018

6-foot-1, 185 pound infielder has an aggressive line drive approach. Plenty of hard contact in his round of batting practice. Choppy timing, slight over rotation of lower half. Gap to gap power. Drew Switzer, 1B/RHP, Hamilton Southeastern HS, 2018

6-foot-2, 165 pounds, hits from a slightly open setup with two-part load. Line drive approach. Stiff in lower half. Partial rotation. Quick barrel turn. High exit velocity of 89. Shows arm strength across the diamond at 82 mph.

Lee Timmons, RHP/1B, LaPorte HS, 2018

6-foot-7, 240 pounds, balanced setup in the box, short stride as hands loads back. Rotational swing. Above average power. Uses all fields. Partial rotation in lower half. High exit velocity of 89. 73 mph across the diamond.

Trent Weiss, 2B/OF, Hagerstown HS, 2018

5-foot-9, 160 pound infielder hits from a tall, athletic setup. Smooth load, toe tap into stride. Slight arm bar in hand load. Lower half tends to over rotate. Bottom hand hitter. Line drive approach. High exit velocity of 89. Ran a 7.01 60 yard dash. Footwork is quick defensively. Above average hands with clean exchange into release. Throws from all angles. Top velocity from infield was 76.
