Class of 2022 Player Rankings (March)

As we start to look at the 2022 graduate class in New England it is fair to mention that the 2022 class is ultra-talented. The class has a wide variety of excellent players at various positions. There are a few committed players within the class as of today but the majority of the graduating class is still wide open. A few off the board at the top are Matt Scott (Stanford), Ben Brutti (URI), Brandyn Durand (Kentucky) and Evan Blanco (UVA). We look forward to watching this class grow and evolve as the next couple years go by.

That being said, we have had the pleasure of seeing a number of solid players this past year. Prospects are popping up left and right, making velocity jumps, improving 60-yard dash times and showing more power with the bat.

Covering six states, New England is a prime area for legit baseball talent and now we would like to bring to you the updated 2022 Player Rankings.

WHO’S AT THE TOP

  • Matt Scott, long and lean right-hander, headed to Stanford. The stuff is real.
  • Ben Brutti (Video), lanky right-hander headed to URI. The frame projects and the arm is ultra quick.
  • Brandyn Durand, physical right-handed hitting catcher. He can swing the bat and shows very good athleticism.
  • Ivan Arias, slick fielding infielder with a solid approach at the dish.
  • Evan Blanco, the left-hander is headed to Virginia. The undersized lefty should pitch in the upper-80s with very good secondary pitches.
  • Garrett Burke, durable right-handed pitcher showed very well on the bump in February. He was 89-90 with plus spin.
  • Matt Travisano, potential two-way guy, swings the bat, runs and is mid to upper-80s on the bump.

  • Matt Scott, the right-hander made the jump in stuff and is now the top ranked player in New England.
  • Marc Willi, big left-handed banger. He really leans on the ball with the bat.
  • Ivan Arias, good looking middle infielder who continues to improve.
  • Garrett Burke (Video), the right-hander has made the jump in the rankings as his velocity has improved.
  • Liam Doyle, quick arm left-hander with a ton of potential. He is relatively unknown but that shouldn't last long.
  • Andrew Delucia, he has grown and is now a guy on the mound. The arm is good and he shows the making of a plus slider.
  • Ryan Daniels, a left-handed hitting middle infielder, hit tool is advanced.
  • David McCann a left-handed hitter from Avon Old Farms, solid catch and throw guy, smooth swing, contact hitter.

THE SLEEPERS

  • Jake Bollin, physical right-handed hitting catcher is someone everyone should see this coming summer.
