Half Hollows Hills West 4 - East Islip 0

Today Hills West faced off against East Islip.  Senior Jon Faraci was the talk of the game as he impressed PBR with his impressive fastball and great command of his curveball and changeup.

The game was scoreless for the first 4 innings as both pitchers for Hills West and Islip dominated each other’s line ups.  Heading into the Top of the fifth is when Hills started to tack on some runs.  Jon Faraci lead off with a single and takes second base on a wild pitch.  Followed up by another base hit makes it first and third no one out. Nick Lombardi steps up and rips an RBI single.  First and Second no one out.  A ground out moves runners to second and third.  Ryan Barone steps up and hits an RBI single making it 2-0.  Failed pick-off attempt scores another run making it 3-0.  Owen McMenamy hits a dribble scoring another run and making it an infield RBI single.  4-0 Hills West.

That’s all Senior Right hander Jon Faraci needed as he took that lead into the seventh inning..  He ran into some trouble trying to finish the game loading the bases.  He managed to get himself out of the jam making the next two hitters to strike out and ground out.
