Webster Schroeder 10 - Rush-Henrietta 2

The Webster Warriors improved to 12-2 on the season as senior RHP Nate Chase went the distance.  After a tough first inning in which he allowed two runs, Chase cruised through the Royal Comets order facing just one over the minimum in the final 6 frames.  He finished the day allowing just 3 hits and two walks while striking out three.

RH would strike first with a pair of first inning runs as Mitch Hoffower drew a bases loaded walk after Chase hit two batters and walked one.  Sophomore 3B Steve Hendrick drove in the second run with a groundball to third base to put RH up 2-0 after one.

Junior RHP Ryan Champagne was successful over the first 4 innings for RH, allowing just one run, but ran into the trouble in the 5th. Two RH pitchers combined to allow 6 runs in the 5th highlighted by a Mike Denimarck bases clearing double which put the Warriors up for good.  Shane Marshall would add a 3-run double of his own in the 6th.

Matt Bonafede reached base four times, while Justin Graham, Corey Marshall, Sean O’Neil, and Denimarck scored two runs each for the Warriors.
