Scouting Report
8/17/2017 Top 10 Risers from Future Games (2020)
His future may be on the mound, but don't sleep on Eikoff's athleticism and ability to play the infield and hit. He has a controlled swing and solid hands that may interest some schools at the next level. However, his stuff on the mound makes him one of the more intriguing arms in the class. Running his fastball up to 88 mph, Eikhoff has a short, quick arm stroke, and the ball jumps out of his ear from a ¾ slot. With his frame still developing, I expect even more velocity to come, and would not be surprised if Eikhoff is touching 90 mph next spring/summer. He crisply repeated a compact delivery, and shows polish and feel on the mound. He showed feel for a sweeping slider at 74-76 as well as a changeup at 80-81. Both pitches have a chance to be above average in the future.
6.22.17: At the plate, showed his usual short swing and good batspeed, consistently barrels the ball and uses the entire field. In the field, showed good lateral range and quick first step, got to a few balls he had no business getting to. On the mound, short, quick arm action from a three-quarters arm slot, fastball was 84-86 with some late run and downward plane.
5.26.17: Eikhoff has an athletic frame that he can still add weight too. Defensively, has soft hands and a quick first step, very good actions and is a smooth fielder. Played second base in this game, but has a shortstop’s arm. Strong arm that is quick with a lot of carry. Very quick turn at second. Hits from the right side, short leg kick stride with a smooth load, good rhythm. Good hips and balance, short to ball with extension through it. Level swing with a line drive approach, good bat speed, ball jumps off bat. Easy doubles power now with potential for more.
Eikoff is an athletic middle infielder that fields with wide base, quick feet and soft hands. Shows a strong arm from the shortstop position. At the plate, Eikoff has a short swing path, quick hands with power potential and ability to use whole field to hit for high average. On mound, was 84-86 this winter with some run on his fastball and looks like he is in line to make an increase in velocity over the course of the year. Sharp breaking ball, can pound bottom of the strike zone. Younger brother of Nate Eikoff, a 2015 PBR Super 60 alum now attending the University of Virginia.
Scouting Report
4/18/17 - George Wythe starter Avery Mabe, a freshman 6-foot-4 UVA commit, was 84-87mph throughout the game, but did touch 89 three times. His breaking ball was 71-73mph and a change-up at 63-65mph. He was the victim of a small strikezone during the game and kept his composure throughout.
Scouting Report
3.30.17 - Britt has a solid 5-foot-9, 160-pound frame. Hits from an athletic set up with hand rock in stance. Short, smooth load to hitting position. Shows average bat speed at plate and gets some extension. Smooth actions in the field with some flare. Loose arm with carry on throws across the diamond. Solid foundation in the young athlete and will be one to watch as he continues to develop.
Scouting Report
12/2017 - A tough 2017 for this top player out of Northern Virginia. Injuries have limited his time out on the mound this year although the talented pitcher out of Bishop O'Connell has been able to make a few impressive appearances. Another injury this fall during basketball season hopefully will not slow him down for the up coming 2018 spring, causing a bit of concern, but this top youngster could quickly make another climb as he stays healthy.
10/16 - 6-foot-7 200-pounds. Normally sits in the 82-85 range but has revved it up to 87. Simple delivery with fluid tempo. Rotates during lift to balance and reaches with lead foot down hill. Lands slightly closed with a quiet finish. Clean arm action throwing from a high three-quarter slot. Has potential for more usage of lower half in his extremely projectable body. Pitches with light effort making for a very exciting young prospect.
Scouting Report
Tarrh has a projectable 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame out of Riverbend HS. Creates fsat arm speed with more in his tank where he should continue to make gains on the mound, already pitching in the upper 80's. One of the top uncommitted 2020's in Virginia, Tarrh may not be that way for much longer.
Scouting Report
5.22.17: Compact athletic frame. Quick twitch athleticism with versatility across the diamond. Hits from an open setup. Smooth load to hitting position. Aggressive swing with a short path and quick hands at the plate. Quick arm action with some carry across the diamond on throws. A fun player to watch on the field with his enthusiasm around the diamond matched with his athleticism. Took to the mound and was up to 81 sitting 79-80 in his relief appearance. One to keep an eye on with his quickness and athleticism in the 2020 class, would not be surprised to see continued rise.
Scouting Report
5.17.17: Athletic projectable frame that is still growing. Exciting prospect in 2020 class. Hits from a square athletic stance with hands above shoulders while digging in at the plate. Smooth load with fast bat speed and extension through contact and some uphill finish. Shows some pull side pop at the plate. Athletic actions in the field with a quick and confident first step. Soft hands and clean actions. Picked a chopper up the middle, running through, throwing across body in front of bag with carry on throw and made look easy.
