New Faces Part II
Henry Stewart C / OF / West Springfield, VA / 2024Athleticism and strength for the uncommitted junior. Arm strength behind the plate and in the outfield. Power potential at the plate with some length in the swing and slight uphill path. Above average runner that allows him some positional versatility.
Landon Griffin 3B / 2B / Thomas Dale, VA / 2024Left handed bat that can be contact driven, but has flashed occasional doubles power and more. Long term maybe more corner/corner defensive profile. Solid bat to ball and should continue to add some power as he matures.
Aiden Ellerts RHP / 3B / Woodbridge, VA / 2024Long lanky frame and still has room to fill. Ellerts has taken a little velo jump this spring and is putting up some impressive numbers at Woodbridge. The junior right hander has shown feel for spin, as well as getting swings and misses with the fastball. Ellerts racked up seventeen strikeouts in his most recent outing.
Jack Graham RHP / The Potomac School, VA / 2024A solid 6-foot, 190-pound frame shows some durability and ability to hold some more strength. We got a chance to see the Potomac School right hander in late fall. Graham was very strong. Painted his low 80's fastball on the outside edge, as well as spun a tight slider that he was able to get out front and get some swings and misses on when working to the glove side. Showed three pitches and has some versatility in terms where he could fit on a staff. Has been a bright spot on a successful Potomac School team this spring.
Eric Capps C / OF / Mills Godwin, VA / 2024The junior outfielder has had a big spring for Mills Godwin. Holding down some corner outfield for the Eagles, Capps has been a bright spot in a lineup that was looking for some depth coming into the season. Quick level path through the zone and line drive tendencies with doubles power in both gaps.
