Adams was a known prospect coming up through youth baseball with the Mighty Ducks and EM Majors, he made the transition to High School baseball in the 7A West look seamless, as he competed right away from the Wildcats as a freshman, both as a hitter and a pitcher. As a sophomore he became more of a polished pitcher locating three pitches for a strike including fastball working into the low 90s. His success as a No.1 starter for Har-Ber allowed them to make a run to the State Championship where they fell to Cabot High School.
Adams committed to Arkansas prior to his sophomore season with Har-ber. This past summer he impressed with Sticks Baseball Academy as a corner outfielder and relieve pitcher. Coming out of the bullpen Adams was able to show consistent arm strength of 89-92 mph with solid secondary pitches. As a hitter he showed the ability to make consistent loud contact.
Moving forward Adams looks like a legitimate draft pick out of high school, sign ability and other factors always come into play, but if the opportunity to play professional baseball right out of high school is a high priority it looks as if Adams will have that ability.
