It is with great excitement that we release to you today, our most recent update to the Virginia/DC Class of 2024 rankings with our Top 100 release.
We are going to take a look at a few players between 26-100. These players made a statement over the past few months at events and high school games, which has impacted their current ranking in the 2024 class.
Cayman Goode SS / RHP / Douglas Freeman, VA / 2024High ceiling, lower floor arm that has big spin and plenty of polish to add. The stuff is real and has a chance to be a nice pickup as he continues to mature on the mound.
Alec Jones 3B / SS / Heritage (Leesburg), VA / 2024Love the hit tool at the plate. Adjustability in the swing, athletic, can defend, and versatile. Left handed bat and the swing simply plays. This is a guy that schools should be all over this summer.
Owen Peterson SS / 2B / Potomac School, VA / 2024Like Jones (above), this left handed hitting infielder is a must see bat in 2024. Slightly undersized and average runner with second base defensive profile, but this kid can flat out hit. Aggressive, sprays it, doubles power, and has advanced bat to ball with ability to hit for high average.
Michael Urbaniak II C / 1B / Greenbrier Christian, VA / 2024You will not find many players in this class that have made strides as big as the ones Urbaniak has made in the past year. Cleaned up the frame, functional strength, and the physicality translates into his game. Left handed hitting catcher that has recently committed to Longwood. The arm is much improved and has a legitimate chance to stay behind the plate.
