#4 Brophy Broncos 8 vs. #6 Basha Bears 5

In a highly anticipated matchup between two top-ranked teams, the #4 Brophy Prep Broncos clashed with the #6 Basha Bears in a thrilling baseball showdown. The Broncos continued their impressive streak this season with a commanding 8-5 victory over the Bears.

Brophy's offense came alive with a total of 12 hits, showcasing their strength at the plate. One of the standout moments came in the top of the 5th inning when Willie Cornejo-Farmer launched a solo home run over the left field wall, igniting a scoring spree for the Broncos.

Sophomore catcher Jonah Castle also delivered a stellar performance, going 2-3 with 2 crucial RBI's, while Johnny Casale contributed with a 3-4 hitting performance, driving in an additional run on 3 singles.

However, it was relief pitcher Benton Hickman who stole the show with his dominant performance on the mound. Coming in during the bottom half of the 3rd inning, Hickman displayed remarkable composure and skill, shutting down the Basha offense for the remainder of the game.With a fastball ranging between 88-90 mph and a deceptive low mid 3/4 arm slot, Hickman baffled hitters with his sinker and racked up an impressive 7 strikeouts over 5.1 innings pitched. His stellar outing proved instrumental in securing the victory for the Broncos and showcased his potential to be a key player in the upcoming playoff season.
